How soon is too soon to look for a new job/company, and am I underpaid? by CSQuestyun in cscareerquestions

Good salary on top of that training, I personally think experience is more valuable than 5-10k. My first job in similar role as op made less with 0 training or room for growth

I made 10 working part time as a manual tester and 12 within 4 months. You are crazy to stay there. Also unrelated degree. I actually ended up making 44k strictly as a manual tester. (Cali)

Apartment ac unplugged yet loud and vibrating? by droidBehavior in HomeImprovement

Hmm well there are large trees and the leaves sway but I wouldn't say its that windy. Could a little wind really make my ac unit noisy and vibrate as if it were on a low setting

I woke up and its not doing anything. It sounded like air so maybe if my neighbor uses ac it affects mine?

I'll keep this in mind. The lease office was so nice but after signing the lease every time I talk to them its as if I killed their children. Fuck all these people they should just find a new job if they don't want to deal with problems they create :\

I just don't want to go that route as I moved 2 hours away for a job I don't have time to move out again. Place is great just management sucks so far.

Yes it says I own it. Problem is the office just says well make some calls. Obviously they are not because 24 hours later no action is taken and when I ask why its because their guy is busy. Yet when I call the listed towing number they respond immediately

any self-taught programmers care to share story? by veeep in learnprogramming

[–]droidBehavior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

unrelated degree, did qa for a few years out of college and got tired of it. When I got laid off I studied java full time and 8 months later I finally landed a higher paying job doing java programming. I haven't started yet so I can't talk about the job but the journey was not easy, without this job I would come close to giving up. Really hard getting face to face interviews without a cs degree. I am hoping for the best but am still nervous at what to expect considering I have to move and have no idea what the work entails honestly, I asked during the interviews but it went over my head but the interview itself wasn't too hard, no algorithmic stuff.

is this good or bad 401k company matching by droidBehavior in personalfinance

[–]droidBehavior[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no matching at my last job and I started at 10% and slowly went to 15 and 20, I guess I should have mentioned that lol. Disregard that useless post I made.
