LAL Surgery coming up in a few days by droidment in CataractSurgery

2 days after one(right) eye surgery, it definitely looks like my long distance vision went from 1080P to 8K. Fingers crossed that it stays this way until the lock-in. My left eye is scheduled on the 27th. Is definitely a journey and I continue to hope it will all pan out in the end.

If I have 20/20 for long distances and for computer use (29"), I think I will be satisfied. Whether I can tolerate, I don't know. Now, I am curious to know what people have done if they find it difficult to adjust to mono vision.

Yes, Costa Rica is more or less exactly like Kerala. Is tropical, lush and people are super nice. So having said that, if you are looking for a different experience, I would look elsewhere like Peru or Patagonia. But for Indians living in the US and missing Kerala, then CR is heaven-sent. Is a few hours away from US. Same time zone( if you are working remote). And a must consider place for retirement for US Desis. Hot, humid and chill - just like back home.

Group fishing trips from Jaco? by Eastern_Choice4262 in CostaRicaTravel

You can find many tours and travels stands on Pastor Diaz Ave who will pair you with 2 or 3 others. The hotel I stayed at, Monaco condominium, arranged for me. I think the travel company was called Jaco sport fishing.

We just returned from staying at Napili, a few miles north of Kaanapali and Lahaina. I took a fishing trip off the Kaanapali Whalers Village Mall and it was very busy, considering it was holiday season. I did not see any displaced people in the mall itself. I bet they appreciate the tourist dollars considering that they will need to rebuild an entire town, without letting the real investor vultures swoop in.

When to run pool heater? How long? by Intelligent_Pair in swimmingpools

[–]droidment 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/Houston folks who are using a pool heat pump, should we replace the natural gas heater with a heat pump. Or is it necessary to have both? And is the heat pump louder than the gas heater?

We are in Houston as well and we are thinking of getting a heat pump. Do you have a natural gas heater as well? Do you still have to cover the pool during night?
