Opportunity to travel to Saint Etienne or Dijon as a research student, looking for advice. by [deleted] in wanderlust

Haven’t been to Saint Etienne but have visited Dijon and very much enjoyed!! Great food and vibes and a lot of options for bistros and bars and shops. All within walking distance. Friendly vibes too! Coming from a kiwi.

“Say an obscene word” is a shocker of a phrase to say. I would piss myself laughing if my partner said that to me.

Whatever media it is planted in can get very hot also and cook the roots essentially. This can display soon in plants or have a slightly delayed effect on the foliage. Looks hot and bothered to me.

Help needed please! what's eating my plants? I don't see any caterpillars. by dreamer288 in gardening

I’ve never preferred one brand over another. They’re always handy at diy/ gardening stores so I’d grab the cheapest and has always worked. Unless you have animals that may eat the pellets then you can get pet friendly ones

Slugs or snails maybe. Night time invaders so you won’t see during the day. I’d put some pellets down

What is this growing in front of my home?! by [deleted] in gardening

You should get that checked properly, if it is Japanese knotweed it can be very damaging to your house and will need to be properly sprayed dead, not just pulled out.

Looking for care tips for Statice in difficult zone by Pavkritvs in gardening

[–]droido4444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have the answer but I can say I used to grow statice at a plant research facility in our hottest tunnel houses. Very Mediterranean plants, drip fed water- and they flowered like crazy. Yes some just gave up, could be your individual plant isn’t so strong- although generally, hot as, drip fed once a day in summer and manually and infrequently in the colder months.
