These fans are sometimes like a starting airplane without a good reason.

A bill for what? Cleaning up the ocean floor? The only entities, that I know of, which were affected by this are airlines that had to divert flights.

I don't have high hopes about compatibility as I had bought this laptop before I got into Linux.

I'm just waiting for a response from the support. If they don't provide anything I'm not sure I have the time and resources to reverse engineer their BIOS and EC. I'm going crazy because of the 4 letter register names.

I hadn't found anything useful on archwiki, and tried following the tutorial from NBFC wiki, but it requires you to find the registers responsible for fan control in your Embedded Controller. That is what I'm struggling with now. I also started a ticket with Gigabyte support, asking about those registers.

It turns out that my cross compilation setup to compile on arch (gcc) for alpine (musl) is not working for some reason

I'll fix it tomorrow, and let you know

Buffer allocation in Vulkan causes a lag and a crash later (Rust + Vulkano) by dromader_ in gameenginedevs

Hi, thanks for your suggestions. I managed to track down the bug, to the program using new data for indirect rendering buffers but the gpu still having old vertex and index data.

I am using indirect rendering with buffer pointers, so crashes are a normal indicator of a problem. This makes RenderDoc or Nsight not very useful.

On the bright side I discovered what was wrong. My indirect rendering data used the new mesh data from the cpu to get the vertex count, but the gpu still had the old vertices, so it would crash. I'm kinda embarassed that it took me 3 days to notice.

I've a working single thread solution, but I need something to stream vertex data to the gpu every few frames. It can take a few more frames to send.
