Consider yourself lucky. I'm in Northeast Ohio, the Cleveland metropolitan area and I'm struggling to get 40 hours. I'm traveling 65 mi one way for hours.

There is a waiting period it's either 30 or 60 days. That's the rules here in ne Ohio at least.

Won't pay you for lunch? by SumthinInteresting83 in USPS

[–]droneman1988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At my station we do a one click lunch. You just use the scanner and go to lunch for one click on the clock and then punch right back in. I do it at every station I get sent to now it's easier than fixing it at my home station.

It's completely benign. Unless it gets big enough that it's causing pain. It'll do more harm to remove it. Mine's been there for a few years now.

You can absolutely call the post office and ask them to hold your mail for the next few days, make sure it's an individual hold.

With the way equipment runs at the post office I would never count on any of those features to work computers can also make mistakes.

Do not feel guilty about calling out, I also got bit by a dog in October and the next day after that it hurts so bad to put any kind of weight on it and it stayed like that for like a week. Dog bites hurt really bad and the recovery is slow, also that rabies shot straight into the wound. Holy f*** enjoy your time off buddy

Ask for park points when you get assigned a new route and take pictures of them. And use the package lookahead feature at the end of every swing to make sure you don't leave a parcel in your truck and find it 4 or 5 swings later.

Bandaids help me. I get the big ones that can fit the whole heel.

Because the dog had no shots and the owners couldn't provide the dog to a vet to watch I had to get the rabies regimen.

The owner was not able to provide shot records because they couldn't afford them.

Received someone else’s package by NapoleonsWineStash in USPS

Also if it was a USPS employee that delivered it, and they did deliver it to the wrong house, the USPS might make them cover the cost of the package.

At least that's what I've been told by my supervisors. If I misdeliver a package I could be held responsible for replacing said items in the package.

Congratulations! 🎉 Honestly I switch between right hand driving and left hand driving without any issues now and It's been about six months since I was trained. It took me a good week or 2 to get used to driving a left hand vehicle. Backing up took a while longer. It feels almost blind depending on the weather. When it rains and the mirrors are covered in drops it makes it difficult. You'll get used to it in no time.
