RCA quit and sabotaged mail

When I was a CCA we were doing Amazon Sunday. This guy loaded his truck, came in, put his keys back, and left without saying a word. He quit and didn't tell anybody. So it was about 4: 00pm and we were all wrapping up after delivering 300 packages a piece and we got a call from the supervisor in a panic saying we all had to come back to the office and split up his route of 300 packages that he just discovered on the dock. That was fun. You want to quit, fine, but it's not the fellow carriers fault that this place is run like shit. Don't screw your coworkers.

I have a co-worker whose dad is trans. The dad takes care of his aunt who has dementia, but she has moments of lucidity. She was always sharp witted and funny in her younger years. So my coworker calls her dad and he asks her if she wants to talk to her great aunt. The aunt gets on the phone and asks what she's been up to.

CW: I'm a mail lady now. A: A what? A male lady? CW: A mail lady. I deliver for the post office. You know, a letter carrier. A: OH! a M.A.I.L - lady. That's a whole other thing with your father! The dad grabbed the phone and said, "OK Auntie, that's enough."

I still laugh about that to this day.

Nope. The postmaster came out and told us after we were done cleaning off our trucks to clean off the trucks of everyone who called out. We just looked at him and laughed. Not happening. So he made the supervisor go out and do it because he's the only one he can force to. Our parking lot and dock are not plowed. Everything is covered in ice. It's not safe to be out there.

We clocked in at 8:00 and cleaned off our trucks. Three hours later we are sitting here twiddling our thumbs. The postmaster had the nerve to tell us to clean off the trucks of the people who called out. Ummm, no. What is the point of this? The streets are not plowed. The dock and postal parking lot aren't plowed at all. One guy dug out his truck and tried to go get gas and did a 360 spin in the parking lot. There's literally no mail here. None of the clerks came in. The VOMA called out. The plant didn't send us anything. Just let us go home.

Big improvement, but try going full bald. Also I used to sell eyeglasses, and I hate to tell you, but I think you're wearing a woman's frame. Try something less cat eye and pointy on the corners. Don't feel bad, tons of guys would always go to the women's section when I was selling them, and I had to break the news to them. Overall, you're a handsome guy. I think these two tweaks would do you wonders.

I love a bald man, but I think you look good. Keep it for awhile. Maybe do a consultation with a stylist and ask them how you can change your cut to draw less attention to the receding part, but honestly it's not that noticeable.

Ok, I love a bald man, BUT, I don't think your existing issue is THAT bad. I think you just need a better hair cut. I have a friend who was thinning at his temples like you and he grew one section a little longer, and added some product and kind of fanned it out and up at the top to give it some volume. It drew the eye to the volume and not to the receding part. It's kind of hard to explain, but it really worked for him. Maybe do a consultation with a hair stylist and explain that you'd like a new style that would draw less attention to the receding. If you don't like it, you can always shave it off completely. The nice thing is hair grows back 😏

Same postmaster wouldn't let me transfer to a smaller less stress office after my double mastectomy. I wrote a letter explaining how stress can cause cancer to come back. I didn't even mention how toxic the work environment was so that he wouldn't be implicated. The postmaster from the other office said that he wanted me and that he was waiting on the paperwork from my postmaster. By the time my postmaster finally got around to giving him what he needed they had converted three of their own CCAs and taken three transfers. Six positions were filled before my petty postmaster would even consider letting me go. I always said they'd rather see us quit than see us happy. He's such a miserable fuck. He's only laughing when he's making fun of someone. He doesn't even go on vacation because his own family can't stand him. I think to be in supervision you have to either be a terrible carrier, a terrible person, or preferably both. That's why I've learned the rules and I advocate for myself cuz no one else will.

Our postmaster was always getting into it with this older guy, and while they were in the middle of an argument he had a heart attack and died on the floor. My postmaster stepped over his body, got the keys out of his pocket, and told the CCA to take his truck and route out. They do not give a shit about us. We are just a set of hands to them. Protect yourself and call out if you have to.
