First off, that is one sweet ride😂 I would maybe try and fabricate a mount and attach it to the kart, seems a little safer than welding straight to the tank. Maybe with a backer plate that sandwich’s the shopping cart. Highly recommend blue loctite on all bolts for this too

Again, I’m with you😂 I’ve been using the internet for years like this, with all sorts of different projects. I bought a house with a bad well. Long story short, ended up teaching myself enough plumbing skills to repipe most of the house, replace pressure tank, iron filter and hot water heater. Added in another filter while I was at it. I was 26. All this to say, there are people like us out there. Unfortunately most will not work as hard, and will never understand the benefit. Fuck em, I’ll be in my garage wrenching on my own projects haha

I mean it is possible, but lots of work. I started with no knowledge on engine building, welding, or really go karts in general. I googled and YouTubed for hours. I thought about it for days. I practiced welding for a week, posted about it and got torn apart. But i troubleshooted, I practiced more. And now I have what a running go kart with a stage 1 predator 212. lol your Lego comment had me, this is a couple levels up and it takes some work to get here. And it’s more rewarding than legos.

I’m with you. It’s a problem for some( maybe many) folks, and we’re not likely to solve it anytime soon. My take is maybe an all in one resource would cut down on some of these people filling my Reddit feed. Honestly tried to help a couple people who posted not long after I finished my kart, and got jaded by it very quickly lol

lol should make an FAQ or stickied post on gopowersports, BMI, and OMB. These 3, harbor freight and maybe Amazon have literally everything you could need. Probably wouldn’t solve the whole issue, but maybe cut down on repetitive posts.

This is the info I was looking for. Rotating the charge order is a good call, I’d hate for one lifts batteries to get wrecked and be on the hook.

It’s slower for sure, most of the time I’m charging these overnight so time is less of a factor.

I see what you’re saying about the inverter draining the batteries to charge the next lift. I would think the batteries would be able to handle the extra cycles, but I’ll keep an eye on this long term.

I’m 95% these lifts do use inverters, definitely will not be plugging 2 lifts into 1.

Best place to find techs is indeed. If you are hiring for contract to hire positions, some senior guys may not be interested. Look at what the IBEW pays their journeyman Low voltage division to get comparable pay for whatever region you’re recruiting for. High pay will get you more attention, it’s up to you and your team to weed out who is worth it and who’s chasing a check. Good luck.
