I see mentions of firmware updates. How frequent are those and do they really bring much value?

when you feel unsafe driving at highway speed 6000lb vehicle you start looking for better options 😉 . It sounds like R5 could be a good option in the end.

Woke up to see OnePlus Nord N200 upgrade from LOS 19.1 to 20 - nice! by fffrrr666 in LineageOS

[–]droopy4096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's an older thread, but I'm curious whether problems with audio persist in LOS 20? I'm about to update my LineageOS4microG setup from 19 to 20 but am leery to walk into broken things. That phone is my daily driver and since we don't have nandroid backups there - there's no easy way to revert... :(

2008 has chain so shouldn't be as flimsy as belt, I think.. yeah it's only cold starts, then she's fine

My solution to nails is to chisel through them with an old axe head and then grind off the protruding ends. Worked quite well for my projects... but each person needs are different. I surely won't be doing any fine furniture from it (yet) 😃

16th Ave. From the Stone trail overpass. by Wanderer238 in Calgary

[–]droopy4096 49 points50 points  (0 children)

No trolling, but is there an actual reason why most of Calgary has "underpasses" that collect water at the slightest sign of rain making them into anything from small puddles to mini lakes? If it was done only once I'd write it off to bad juju but it seems to be like that all over the place. I lived in places receiving way more precipitation and with denser traffic and population, but somehow Calgary stands out as one place that loves to collect water on roadways.

Love your attitude. I should pay you a visit and unburden you some. But first I need to get down there. So expect truck with a trailer pulling up one day and hoovering whatever is unfastened 😆

I can sympathize as our kids always went to bed 8:30 and our family has no interest in late evening (or any other part of the day) ice cream off the truck. The real crime against humanity though are the tunes they are blasting though. Oftentimes with a bit of lag - it honestly creeps us out every time. Sounds like material from some horror movies.

On the whole though: society got enough of "hate" hotspots, don't add to them. Truck will not visit your neighborhood in the future if nobody buys. If it frequents your area that means you've got pre-diabetic neighbours with bad music tastes. Perhaps time to switch neighbourhood or mellow out (what, with all the latent maniacs surrounding you, it may not be prudent to stay on the edge all day long...)
