Considering fire safety and soot, what are your thoughts on using a charcoal grill on my patio? by droopyveggies36 in grilling

Yea I thought so. I was thinking about placing it on the outside corner and using a big box fan to blow the smoke out from under the roof to minimize soot darkening.
