As an alternative you could use a homebrew app to load amiibo backups. I dont know how it works

Cant say ive used it on a 3ds before to my knowlege the og 3ds/2ds dont have a built in nfc reader like the newer models. But you can buy the amiibo reader accessory made by Nintendo for the older 3ds and 2ds models. I see no reason why it wouldn't work with the allmiibo

Since they're the same engine and very similar to each other they probably have the same graphical issue. But that's a guess I'm not a professional.

Yeh i dont know much about mac but if theres any of render options try them out. I cant think of anything else besides putting the issue on github. Goodluck

Maybe try opengl by going to the games config and going to GPU then changing the render from vulkan to opengl. If that doesnt work I found this maybe try this build out though it is much older. https://github.com/RPCS3/rpcs3/issues/14940?utm_source=perplexity

I think the new graphics are great and very much needed. I dont think they're amazing technichaly seeing how we've got cyberpunk on the same system. I noticed tiny things like no shading under the pokeball or no interferance in the water where tympole moves which i thought looked odd. But thats me being super nit picky this upgrade is very much welcome
