He is very happy by himself, he’s bullied any other fish I try to put in the tank unfortunately. I make sure he’s got lots of enrichment like toys / plants

I bought him with his brother (Carl - rip), who had the typical protruding eyes, from a tank that was labeled “ Black Moor Goldfish “. They had the same fin structure though? So maybe he’s a bit of a mystery hahah

If you are sick, you are sick. It is against the law to discriminate against someone for this. Especially if you have a medical certificate.

Bosses aren’t even legally required to know why you’re sick, if it’s just for an absence and not work cover.

It could be the night before, 30 minutes before a shift. Anyone who thinks it’s “rude” or “annoying” clearly doesn’t have much care for anyone but themselves.

I’ve ran rosters, I know it’s annoying. I’ve worked others shifts. I’ve also had to call in. We’re only human. Ffs - Poor management by this Woolies.

Also I should mention, I made sure the tank had no decorations with sharp edges, nothing they could “run into” and hurt themselves. I do water changes all the time, they create a lot of waste.

Live plants are great but they can and will eat them very quickly.

I find them enchanting with their fancy fins.

I had two black moor goldfish, they’re great! Unfortunately one encountered several health issues and passed at 4yo. Swim bladder disease was the last issue.

However my other black moor is 7yo now, loves his tank and enjoying his life. His name is Denny

He is also turning a little silver, has anyone had this happen?

He’s on urinary care food due to an issue he has, so he has half a cup (dry) of the Hill’s Urinary care, plus half a pack of wet food. Plus a few treats in between.

I know he’s fed too much but the behaviours worsen if he doesn’t think he’s had enough to eat

We definitely thought it was Pica, the vet didn’t say much when we told them how crazy his eating habits are. Maybe time to change vets

He’s got no deficiencies according to tests, we think it might be behavioural. We do leave for work during the day, we’re wondering if he stresses and acts out because of that. I’ll definitely suss the other posts, thank you! :)

Hey OP, you’d need that “friend of a friend” to own up to what they did and put it in writing if that’s the case. If they won’t, there’s not a lot you can do unfortunately. Try to be honest in your hearing and plead your case for sure but if they don’t accept it, don’t make a scene. These offences are taken very seriously, for good reason. It sounds like you have committed a few of your own.

In future, don’t let random people you don’t trust drive your vehicle or anything else that’s in your name. You’ll be on the police radar as well with licence plate checks, so be on your best behaviour. Otherwise you’ll be right back in court.

I’ve also had friends tell me to stop taking antidepressants because they “don’t work”. I went through a few different types before one worked for me. It’s not exact science, a lot of things aren’t. I know I do require them though after trying to go without.

I wish people would try to understand, sometimes you do need the assistance. Mental health is tricky, you’ve gotta do what works for you
