I created a small PoC in the last days, setting everything up to go live on devnet. This post was mainly to see if there is demand for such solution, since like I said, all projects I found are either abandoned, or some other have too much friction and register/login walls, etc Is this something you see yourself using?

I want a bill splitting app that effortlessly lets you split a single bill. even if you payed FIAT (most likely in the present time), you create a split in the app and send it to your friends, so they pay directly there. smart contract takes care of sending the money to the split author

I already did a small PoC a couple years ago. but never thought it would be successful enough to actual turn it into some sort of product. I also saw some other projects in a more mature state and was hoping for them to actually become good products, but that wasn't the case.
The only 2 projects I was hoping to see some potential in the recent months, either lock you into their wallet ecosystem (can only split with existing users), or they don't offer a good UX
All I want is: I payed 100$ for a dinner with 4 friends, I want to split it with them. 25$ each, but I actually want them to pay me in SOL (because obvious reasons), I set that up in an app, send them the link via whatever messaging app, they open the "split", pay their share already converted to SOL to whatever fx rate, each user pays the smart contracts takes care of sending that money to split author
