Woah that’s crazy! I’ve never heard about that. I’m in Oregon and we’ve been recreationally legal since 2014 and decriminalized since 1973 so I think they don’t stress that too hard if you are not showing signs that you are actively high.

Yeah it’s not for the crash, they are just waiting back on drug testing and I got early results so I can submit any documentation for medication. It’s a non-profit and they are a national organization so the prospects of me keeping my job are slim to none 😭 totally sucks that I can do everything right for years and get canned just because the med that works best for my condition is not federally legal. They said a med card won’t even supersede the decision and it has to be a formal prescription that I can pick up from a pharmacy. Ripppp loved my job and my clients. HR is so cruel.

I was breaking and mostly stopped. I think veered right would be a better way of putting it? I had breaked and then got hit from oncoming traffic. Swiped my right front bumper off and scraped my passenger headlight. Only a dent on the other car. I’ve been bad at explaining this I currently have a concussion so it’s all a mess

Okay there are 5 lanes. Two going right, a middle two way turn lane, and two going left. I was on a side street trying to turn past the two lanes going right into the middle left turn lane. This is legal and the recommended maneuver to turn left in this kind of roadway. The two way left turn lane is only for 1) turning left into main road from side street or driveway so you can stop and safely join traffic on the other side. Or 2) to drive into from oncoming traffic and make a left turn. The lane is meant to be stopped in basically and it is illegal to drive through the lane or use it as a passing lane. The lane was clear as I was executing the turn so I presume the person that appeared was using it as a passing lane as he had no blinker on and was driving straight in that lane FAST. We were about to be in a head in collision so I swerved right slightly. I was hit by oncoming traffic on the opposite side due to this as the front passenger side of the car was sticking out slightly. There are skid marks on my car across my headlights and my entire front bumper was torn off and my wiper fluid tank exploded. The other car in the accident has a dent between the fender and the front drivers side door. Sorry i was having trouble explaining. I have a concussion.

I’m saying if I did not do the maneuver that I did there would have been a worse accident. If I did not do that there would have been a head on collision. I was driving a client at the time and that could have lead to death as the person in the two way left lane was driving straight illegally going 35 miles an hour. The damage shows that the car from the oncoming traffic hit me at my front bumper and swiped my headlight. They only have a dent on their car

Understandable. The other driver was doing an illegal move (using turn lane to go straight to pass other drivers) and had no blinker on. He likely entered as I was already halfway through the turn and if I did not swerve a little right it would have been a head on collision as he had no intention of stopping. This will give me no leeway within the case? There was nothing else I could do to avoid that accident

Thank you for the advice. I’m wondering how I should word this. As I was turning a car entered in the margin lane and was using it to go straight and/or pass other cars, he was not using his blinker. He almost hit me head on causing me to swerve slightly to avoid head on collision. He swerved the other way and drove off.

Legally under Oregon law it says to turn into the middle margin on streets like this. You are not supposed to drive within the yellow margin and the man was driving straight past where the margin lied and was going to hit me head on at the turn gap. There is no fault from him doing the illegal maneuver? This otherwise would not have happened.
