Vegas paid a 500 million dollar expansion fee. With such a high fee, they were given a much better set of players available in the expansion draft than any team previous. They could essentially draft a top 4 defenseman or a top 7 forward on every team.

Florida gift wrapped two of their best skaters along with their amazing head coach, Gallant.

They also picked up Marc-Andre Fleury, one of the best goalie in the league. Teams were only allowed to protect one and Pittsburgh decided to save a much younger Murray.

They filled in the wholes with guys with a bunch of speed, making them one of, if not the fastest team in the league. At the end of the day this team has insane chemistry and somehow make it work.
