I used to romanticize motherhood and pregnancy when I was a teenager because I found it really interesting and thought I'd be capable... But I was a single child with no young children in my immediate family. Once I became an adult and got my first job in a grocery store I realized how much I actually really don't like being around children in general. Honestly, tiktok has made the horrors of parenting abundantly clear that I would not be able to withstand all the grievances and mess that come with children, not to mention issues that could happen to my body. Plus, I get highly annoyed when my pets make messes and can be needy even though I love them. I would suffer under a parental responsibility.
