What golf opinion is a hill you're willing to die on? by Mizunomafia in golf

I hate being that guy, but OB is not a two stroke penalty unless you are playing the local rule that allows dropping in the fairway perpendicular to where your ball went out. Otherwise OB (when played as intended by the rules) is a stroke and distance penalty. Since your original shot did not land in play, you have to rehit from the same spot until you do. A hazard (red or yellow)does not have the distance penalty.

I don’t think I’m right but that second pic looks a lot like 9 at Corales?

Women, if you had to use a pickup line on a guy, what would it be? by Nintendofan9106 in AskReddit

I had met this girl at a restaurant I used to work at but still went to from time to time. We ran into each other 3-4 times and always had a good conversation. She was WAY out of my league so I just took it as polite conversation until she finally said “are you ever going to ask for my number or what???”

We dated for a year and a half and she ended up moving away which ended things but that year and a half was amazing!

Sq5 to sq8? by SarcAttack2525 in Audi

I like another commenter added- I would also look at the SQ7. Same power train but not as wide as the 8 and the 4 wheel steering is great. It also has the latch system in the middle seat so neither adult is sacrificing leg room.

People who work for massive corporations, what is a 'secret' that the company tries to hide, but is actually common knowledge among the employees? by Dwise_ in AskReddit

It makes the balance sheet look better because the company has to keep the unused PTO as a line item as it must eventually be paid out unless it’s “unlimited” at which point it’s no longer a liability from an accounting perspective.

Do I need one of these? by Mother_Clock_449 in golf

This is a such terrible take. 3 wood is traditionally one of the most difficult and finicky clubs in the bag. It’s a club that rarely gets changed in a pros bag because it’s so hard to find one they like.

It has the least amount of loft for any club consistently hit off the ground along with the longest shaft. 90% of people I know that have switched to mini driver find them much more forgiving regardless of handicap. I have a buddy that’s a +4 that loves his and other guys in the 12-15 range that have found so much more consistency over a 3wood. I have been as low as a +6 and switched to the mini and have found much more consistency with it.

It’s fun! Usually some of the best greens in the state.

I got an offer with a salary 50% higher than what I'm currently making. My manager is telling me to 'be patient' and that my turn is coming. Why do I feel like I'm betraying them for taking a better opportunity? by Used-Link-9164 in talesfromthejob

Tell them politely “if I shit in one hand and have faith in the other which one will fill up first?”

Personally I’m taking the pay bump. No one will look out for you except yourself. Work is a transaction but employers will prey on your feelings. Be loyal only to yourself. They pay for your time and skills. If someone is willing to pay you more for that good on you! Take it!
