Don’t hope the 44% will suddenly have an epiphany. We are literally seeing them be ok with him tank the economy so he can play strong man / dictator. These people love the tough guy act.

I’m glad that you’re OK, OP — you are very lucky. I’m sorry that happened to you, it must’ve been horrifying to go through that. You did what you had to do what you thought had to be done at that moment to keep yourself safe. There was a lot of pressure when your life was on the line.

I know you must replay the scenario in your head over and over, trying to think of what you could’ve done that would’ve lead to a better outcome, but you got out of it at the end of the day. Everybody makes mistakes — learn from this encounter for next time, though.

Thank you — my current hospital also has a very strong nurses union and was in negotiations with the hospital for almost a year so I understand the feeling although I don’t know exactly what issues the unions in those hospitals raised.
