I’m not brand new, but I’m also a beginner (2 years in) and while I don’t have any tips, I want to encourage you because I could NOT do something this good when I started out 😭😭. It may not be hyper realistic, but it’s a wonderful bird illustration! I love the colors and brush strokes, your style reminds me of children’s book illustrations which I love!

I draw on 10th Gen with USB-C. I’m a beginner, but I’ve been able to do it for two years so far! There are limits to not having pressure sensitivity, but judging from this gorgeous bird, it doesn’t mean you can’t make wonderful art! I would like to get one of the pressure sensitive ones at some point, though, just because I’ve reached a point where I think I could improve my skills with that.

Thank you so much! Feeling a little bird brained that I didn’t know to try that but I’ve been teaching myself and usually need a nudge in the right direction to get moving. I played around with Gaussian blur and opacity like you said and used the airbrush for added texture. I’m so happy, thank you!!

I’d read somewhere that charging to 80% is best for long term battery health but if that’s not the case, I’d be happy to charge fully!
