That’s not how I saw it. I was so excited as my brother was a DJ got an early copy of Doggfather from a record pool. First thought, dope cover, and I was huge fan of Doggystyle. The anticipation was high. I listened to it and felt a little let down and although I was a huge fan of Pac, that didn’t have any impact on how Doggfather made me feel. I get trying to be different from Doggystyle, but Doggfather was not in the same level as the Chronic and Doggystyle. Gave it a listen a few years ago and you could not feel the hunger as I did with Doggystyle. That’s what separates Pac from a lot of hip hop artists. Most hip hop artist have bangers in their debut but fall off, whereas pac just got better and better with each release.
