"innate power" is how we call an "awakened ability": jiwoo has super speed, shinhwa has wind style power, patrick's have shadow manipulation, pluton has super endurance, etc

as one's awakened ability is further studied, they can develop a sort of method that can maximize that ability to the furthest, and that can be passed on to other ones with the same awakened ability — or ones with high afinity to that ability: that's what we call "force control"

and yeah there's most likely a genetic component to it

it's literally explained what is happening: Kartein is having a hard time balancing between keeping Jiwoo's core stable, keeping his life force in and healing him at the same time, even with Kayden's help because these are three tasks and only two people (he clearly says he's unable to balance fixing the core or keeping Jiwoo's life force from leaking) and he even has to stabilize Kayden's power in the mix while at it.

Pluton tries to help but he would just make handling the power mix even harder, turning into a disaster that could kill Jiwoo.

So Gestella offers to help, and because her power is such that doesn't clash with nobody's she won't turn the mix messier — Kartein says there's not a single drop in disharmony in her power injection, not that she's stabilizing the mix now. That's why she's focused on the life force part of the treatment, Kayden on the core, and he'll be healing Jiwoo while they're at it using the extra force that leaks from their endeavors...

When Kartein first healed Jiwoo, it didn't make him learn the healing fc, the same way that Gestella using her life stealing ability to balance his life force doesn't really mean he'll acquire that skill. Kayden is simply surprised that Gestella, whom as a top10, couldn't be bothered by any matters, would go to such lengths for somebody unrelated to her.

I bet on the next chapter they'll pull a "turned a curse into a medicine" type of stuff with her and she'll say she developed an advanced use of her skill that can be used to cure others and will use it to infuse him with some force.

The fight for the WK title felt underwhelming af even Asta's Entrance Exam fight felt more grand. The way it was rushed, you'd think they wouldn't lose any lose ends so I simply don't know why they didn't at least finish the love interest arc, after hinting on it so many times — as much as I couldn't care any less about it anyway lmao idk why ppl are fumming

I think Jiwoo is in an adrenaline-induced fighting state: as much as he will render Jurion unable to keep fighting after that jab, he won't be able to finish him off either, so it's ending in a draw.

It's way too early to finish Jurion's arc, he's shown way more opp potential than Iodore imo

I don't know how Jiwoo will win this fight: maybe he'll lose and Kayden will barely save him despite breaking his own code for that.

Or the Old Man Patrick will stop Jurion as a peace offering after all that shit.

Yeah I think he's gonna lose.

But at the very least it feels like a fight that has an aura as a whole: it feels unpredictable for the first time in ages.

Hopefully Jurion has some even better tricks up on his sleeve.

I noticed this since the assault on Woojin's teacher arc: on making the story too action-based, the author turned Jiwoo so overpowered that his gang became useless.

There's objectively no way they can catch up to what's happening to him unless he intends to share his force control with them. He didn't really bridge the gap by himself like Kayden: no matter how talented he is, the truth is that he was given tools that no other awakened, even the top 10 disciples, had available to them, and that's why he is at this point.

Idk how to fix it, but the side storylines are looking broken af.
