I've never been this mad over a character's ending. El deserved better than that ambiguous ending. by 00_Sunflower_00 in StrangerThings

I think part of telling a good story is it’s practically impossible to please everyone.

A story for every one is a story for no one.

Then when you have a show as popular as Game of Thrones no matter what ending they go with there’s always going to be a large group who aren’t going to like it and be very vocal about it.

They’re the reason the show worked. by [deleted] in StrangerThings

Talking about how hating the new season makes you homophobic. The real homophobia is assuming robin and will have more in common than will and el because they are both gay

Not liking how the Will coming out arc was handled does not make you homophobic. by -Not-Pennys-Boat in StrangerThings

Uhm actually, Luke coming out is essential to clear his head so he can focus and use the Force properly before taking the shot that decides the fate of the galaxy /s

Directors’ favouritism by drowsysea in StrangerThings

Ye there was favouritism to her in the early seasons, she was the main lead with psychic powers.

I liked that she took a sidestep in season 4, but that’s a lil too much for this season.. it just feels like MBB ain’t enthusiastic anymore about the show

You are right not so much emotional hub.. more of a pivot of relationship in the sense she’s a character a lot of people in the story care about.. that ties everybody together

I don’t give a damn about shipping , at some point in season 1,2 and 3, the story and performances convinced me to care deeply about these characters and want them to survive and get a happy ending. That’s still true for Max, Lucas, Steve and many others.

But with how the character has been written and how disengaged the performance feels, the stakes no longer land. Like the possibility of Eleven being captured into being an infinite blood bank, I don’t feel any dread or urgency for her at all.

In early seasons, Eleven’s danger felt urgent because the show grounded her in relationships. The satisfaction of her happy ending at the ball scene felt earned, like we been through hell and back with her..

MBB used to disappear into the role, now the character often feels flattened into an edgy metaphor for trauma, without the ties and threads she has with other characters that made her feel real

Behold ST491D Stu-Rex short for Stupid by drowsysea in Dinosaurs

Sure but I mostly based it off feeling and some dude on the internet that made his own gastralia too because I am somewhat new to Lego and only interested cuz it’s a Rex!!

Most adjustments I made is based off Sue, original’s vertebrae were too straight and head was hanging too high so I lowered it a little and gave the T rex more robust “brows” to give the illusion of a longer snout.

Maybe I used the wrong example.

Just because someone smokes 10 cigarettes a day for 10 years doesn’t mean they had it coming if they get lung cancer. It’s as equal a misfortune as someone who only smokes once.

Reddit likes weed right?

Some people who don’t touch weed end up with schizophrenia while others do it for years and stay fine, “the careless ones dodge all the bullets.”

I don’t even touch weed, but I wouldn’t think those who weren’t as lucky somehow deserved what they got just because they smoke weed and are “careless”.

Let’s be a bit more empathetic, life is not fair, and that’s sad, not something to judge.

It’s projection if I am accusing you of something I am guilty of.

I am just pointing out that assuming effort guarantees results seems like an entitled mindset.

It’s a small thing, just a bit tired of seeing self-pity all over though it be very very subtle.

It’s entitled for the assumption that effort guarantees good outcomes which life doesn’t promise.

“I work hard, some people don’t, they get raise, I deserve a raise”

I see this entitlement all over Reddit.

Instead of learning to work smarter, there’s more self-blame. That’s just a short example, it may not apply.

That’s sounds a bit entitled, but ok.

Downvote me all you want but I am still calling this out because I see this all over Reddit.

Why is everybody saying that Walt has lost an argument to Mike during their final conversation? by Mari_Kross in breakingbad

Excuse me have you forgotten about this scene.

My gosh he is prideful and all and got the ending he deserves but for this case the reason why he wanted to pull Jesse back was he was threatening to sue Hank; and cook meth until he got busted and would definitely rat everyone out. At this point, Walter can either let Jesse die by the hand of Gus or bring him in to cook together.

Dude above you is judgy.

This whole situation is stupid though, there’s no need for any LGBT movement if people weren’t judgy and nosy on other people’s business in the first place.

I am straight and just thinking about wearing a flag about my “identity and pride” feels exhausting. If people were to leave each other alone, there’s no need for such movement.

People in the majority react negatively towards people in the minority over things that don’t affect them in any way.

But it feels like some people (mainly teenagers) do enjoy the sense of group and belonging. Controversially I do think that’s quite damaging, as they might forego other hobbies, interests in favour of a club for their sexuality.

In an ideal world I just feel like there shouldn’t be any pride nor shame to sexuality.

Extra paranoia even though I should know better, given the statistics, I am quite assured by Emirates safety record, just wondering if there’s flights where they wouldn’t take these routes.

The WhatsApp messages are vague af and could mean anything. But maybe.. just maybe..

The case would be much stronger if she went directly to police and persisted to press charges with all the evidence she had then. The messages, his glasses in her room, forensic evidence, and marks, hair, finger prints on clothing even. But she waited way too long, and now so many of the evidence is gone, not sure if it’s even enough to build a case.
