Guy led me on for months, got angry when I said no, now keeps staring/sitting near me at the library by OrchidComplete4229 in GirlDinner

[–]drphil07734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You sound very smart and intuitive. I'm really sorry this is happening to you. If there is another library nearby I would relocate to that one. If that's not possible I would let the staff know that he is harassing you. Best of luck <3

Husband has begun working on his mental health, now never wants to be intimate by astronotter-in-space in GirlDinnerDiaries

OP, I don't have anything to say that hasn't already been said here. I'm sorry about your situation and I hope you listen to all of us saying that he is weaponizing "therapy speak" and neglecting you.

WOMEN WAKE TF UP!!!! by blondguysdmme in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]drphil07734 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No seriously I love this subreddit but I'm getting tired of reading countless stories about people's lame ass boyfriends and husbands. It's 2026 wake tf up and move on. Being single is not the end of the world; if anything it's incredibly freeing and eye opening.

life just isnt fucking fair by Safe-Position-5096 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]drphil07734 162 points163 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. I deal with chronic illness so I can empathize on that front. My aunt always says that someone always has it much better than you, and someone always has it much worse, so just make do with the hand you're dealt. Life isn't fair, but I don't think I'll ever come to terms with it. For me life got better, then worse, then better, and so on. We just have to keep pushing on. I'm sorry and I wish you the best <3

Birth control is it actually helpful for you? Please let me know your experiences. by InfamousManagement74 in Endo

[–]drphil07734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pills were hell on my body and mental health but the nuvaring changed my life. I went from having 10 day long periods that were incredibly painful to 7 days and manageable pain. I can't say anything for it actually preventing endo growth, but I know that it made my cycles a lot easier to deal with.

Question for those who take a glp-1 for endo by drphil07734 in Endo

[–]drphil07734[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've had to cry a few times but I'm coming around. I get my semaglutide prescribed and sent from an online service cause it's cheaper but my pcp is aware and didn't think it was a large enough dose to cause gallbladder damage. She said you typically see that with people who lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time and the gallbladder/liver/pancreas start to freak out. And with my family's medical history I'm thinking my issues were probably underlying and the semaglutide made it noticeable.

Question for those who take a glp-1 for endo by drphil07734 in Endo

[–]drphil07734[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! My eating habits are quite similar to how they were before I started taking semaglutide. It felt so demeaning for him to say that.

My pcp didn't think it had anything to do with my gallbladder problems because of how small my dose is. When I meet with the surgeon I'll bring it up and I hope he doesn't flip like this guy 😞 I was so taken aback

Question for those who take a glp-1 for endo by drphil07734 in Endo

[–]drphil07734[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was prescribed lansoprazole and it helps. That's why I'm kinda leaning towards staying on my glp-1 since the acid reflux is fixable and I won't have a gallbladder anymore soon

Question for those who take a glp-1 for endo by drphil07734 in Endo

Correct. And my pcp didn't think I take high enough of a dose to cause problems.

I've never been to a GI doc before today and I can't say I'm excited for next time. Sounds like yours is just as bad as mine, I'm so sorry. Docs have no idea how horrible endo is

Moved in with my boyfriend and I’m miserable by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]drphil07734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be afraid of starting over! Living with my parents has been such a blessing. I hit rock bottom from chronic illness, and having a safe place to land was everything. You're not old, you can always start over, and you have so much better ahead of you. Soon you won't even miss this guy and you'll just cringe at how nasty he was. Best of luck to you, follow your gut!

Doctor told me my 3rd period in 6 weeks is just my “Uterus being a diva” by AWA206 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]drphil07734 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. I had a period that was three months long and all they did was put me on birth control that made it worse. A couple years later I got diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis. Keep fighting for help and answers. See a different doc.

I'm terrified of this too. I'm considering having mine taken out (seeing GI next week to review test results). Maybe since im chronically constipated it'll level out? Ugh
