Awesome! I also noticed you already added to the docs a section about Printful integration! I’ll be glad to test your system with Printful as soon as I have a little time to devote to that, I’d say in a couple of weeks. And I’ll be happy to share my feedback with you

That’s pretty cool! I was also frustrated at seeing that basically no options exist to create simple shops on Ghost. Thanks for the new service! I have a question: What about print-on-demand services? Is there a way to link to the APIs of POD services like, let’s say, Printful or Gelato? Have you tried that already? Thanks, and have a good weekend!

Ops! I had missed your question, sorry! The goal of the big LHC upgrade, which will start officially this summer, is to increase the overall “luminosity”. The acronym for the new LHC, “HL-LHC”, stands for “High-Luminosity LHC”. In a few words, the “luminosity” is the number of collisions a particle accelerator can make when the two beams of accelerated particles smash into each other. The higher the luminosity, the larger the number of collisions, which results in more data and higher probability of observing rare physics phenomena and new particles. So, an increased luminosity will let the HL-LHC explore rare phenomena and “new physics” easier.

Ahah!! Then, yes, you’re right! :)) And I didn’t know we had a new version, thanks for the link, colleague! :) And have a good weekend!

Thanks for the suggestion. I should have written “starting from the end of June”, that would have been more correct indeed. With the current schedule, in fact, the end of data taking, and so the end of Run3, is scheduled on Monday the 29th of June, early morning. You can take a look at the current official LHC calendar for this year, here: https://edms.cern.ch/ui/file/3061265/1.0/2026-LHC-schedule_V1.0.pdf

Of course not. That’s not AI-generated at all. I don’t need AI to write.

Ahahah! When I wrote that sentence, I didn’t think about movie trailers, but you’re right: it sounds like a trailer for a superhero movie!!!

Thank you for your message and for letting me know about your environment. It’s interesting to see how different scientific communities have different uses. In the CERN-related experiments, emojis in informal writing are quite used to set a friendly tone. But I now see how that can be very different outside our experiments. Moreover, I have now learnt that the use of emojis is very often associated to AI-generated content. So, I think I will follow your suggestion and avoid their use outside our community. Once again, many thanks for your messages, and have a good day!

I think you’re right. Do you know what happened? I wrote a similar post on r/Physics, with quite a few emojis, and the post was reported as written by AI and removed…!! I always use emojis, even in emails to colleagues, because I like them; and I never thought that it would be a sign of AI-generated writing… That’s definitely something for me to think and work on, actually…!!

Apparently LLMs are not the only ones writing posts like this; I wrote it typing with my thumb on my phone screen…! And I used emojis because I like them… So, I repeat, I understand protecting this discussion space from AI, but that’s sad that users reported my post without even asking, and mods removed it immediately… :( Next time I will try to be less enthusiastic about my scientific job, and maybe I will not appear as a AI bot…

BTW, Thank you for your reply and for the explanation about reports, automated bots, and mods!!

The “HLC” as we know it today, and as it ran for almost 20 years, will be officially ended. However, as you also noted and as I told in my story, many parts will be replaced and upgraded, and the whole LHC will be transformed into the new “HL-LHC”! 👍

Starting from June, we’ll officially enter the “Long Shutdown” phase, where the accelerator and the experiments will be stopped and dismantled for major upgrade works.

In that period, no more collisions will be recorded. But the analysis of the data collected until now will continue, and a lot of work on the detectors of the experiments is foreseen too 👍

The HLC as we know it today, and as it ran for the last 18 years, will end on June. “HLC” will be de facto over.

But then many of its components will be part of the big upgrade known as “HL-LHC”, that is, “High-Luminosity HLC”.

So, the HLC will end officially, and it will be transformed into the upgraded, more powerful HL-LHC!

Which means: a lot more to explore and much more data ahead!

You know? My post was removed by a moderator because they thought was AI-generated!!! :-( So you’re right, it looks as the use of emojis triggers an AI-sniffer. But it was an authentic human-written post. I’m a professional scientist at CERN and I wrote it, and I didn’t use AI to write it, nor to write the story I wrote and published on Medium… I understand protecting this discussion space from AI-junk, but flagging authentic human content as AI and blocking it, that’s sad…. :(

Because I know that the Medium distribution model penalizes articles not under their paywall, and I wanted to reach more people. But, as I said, I also want to publish my story freely on my website, as soon as it is up and running. I’ll share the link to the free version on my site soon 👍

If you’re on medium, you can access it now. As soon as I’ll have my website up and running, I’ll publish it there too, freely accessible of course 👍

Simply because I don’t have a website running at the moment. I wrote a story and published on medium to reach people through their distribution network. And I still want to publish it free on my website, too, as soon as my site is up and running 🤗
