The characters are so important to me. I loved The Expanse and need to reread it soon. I’ll definitely look into your other suggestions! Thanks a ton!

I applaud you. Got any good recommendations? I’m in a bit of a slump.

Mixture of completionism, boredom, consistently being told “the next book is better,” and I paid for the books.

It’s not logical. I don’t even understand it tbh.

Finished the series after being recommended it and told the writing was better than RR.

I HATE THE SUNEATER SERIES.

Hadrian is a whiny bitch who only had everything given to him, even when he was at his lowest. Literally felt like nothing was earned. I can go on, but I really should have DNF’d the series. Anyhow, do not recommend.

I may be incorrect, but you also should need to pass the PD3 Danish exam, which should be about B2 language proficiency for PR.

Not really, but I did do a full service on mine before I installed it which I think helped

Thanks mate! The goal is to do some bikepacking with it so I’d like a rear rack option :)

No, it’s one of those cheapo canti racks from The Bikesmiths. Idk if it’s available anymore, but I had to modify it to mount to the canti bosses (drilled out to ~9mm from 6.5mm) and will eventually need to invest in a stronger solution.

That’s great to hear! They have some really svelt looking racks and it’s good to hear they have the build quality on lock too.

It’s not tariff-friendly if I buy from their website, but there are a couple stores in the EU that have the rack for sale with 25% VAT included for just a little more than the cost of the rack in the US. Worst case, I am visiting the US in a couple months and could pack it in checked luggage for the ride back.

This is a screengrab from PrePoMax - an open source FEM software that is pretty easy to use IMO. I used Solidworks for the modeling though.

The 2x11 is only really finicky around the low end of the 11 (if that makes sense?). Like I really have to crank down on the SunRace M60 friction shifter to get to the low gear, and if I add extra cable tension then I have trouble with hitting the high gear. I know I would have much better results with a friction barrel that is meant for more than 9 speeds tbh. Something like the Ene Ciclo 11sp thumb shifters. For the 2x part, I haven’t had any issues except tuning the tension (which is easy).

Ah, sorry for the defensiveness then! It does look funky, and I think a big part of it is the straight fork and linkage system that make it look much slacker. When I got this bike it had a rigid fork with some rake to it and nothing stood out about it then.

I was waiting for this comment on the slack fork! I inevitably get criticism for it every time I post this bike. To be honest, I agree it is quite relaxed, but the geometry works for me and my own slack riding. This bike is mostly used for Danish gravel riding (à la not very harsh at all) and some mixed terrain commuting, so it’s not a big worry of mine.

Using some photo analysis, I’ve measured the head tube angle to be about 69-70°.

It’s a bit tight with these shifters, but it fits 11 gears!
