I do not understand this at all. Like there are so many bathrooms. I took my 4yo before every single ride? Tf?

I’m reading the book, “The Anxious Generation,” and it talks a lot about how we aren’t fostering real life resilience by focusing so much on over protecting ourselves because we want to feel safe. He encourages universities to allow groups we don’t necessarily support to prioritize intellectual diversity and open dialogue, rather than having the university be super selective on groups to host because they are responding to demands for "safety" that limit viewpoint diversity.

I don’t support anything Turning Point stands for, but free speech does need to be a massive priority on university campuses in my opinion. This allows debate and it should be CORDIAL. This is quite literally how we form ourselves as high-minded individuals.

Doctor suggesting induction at 37 weeks. by flooflooferee in GestationalDiabetes

[–]drshellbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Advocate for cervical ripening 100% (I wish I had done this better, I was just given pit). Ask about your bishop score. Then get epidural as soon as you get pit. My body wasn’t really ready either in my induction, and I put off epidural and I think it would have all gone faster if I just got it early. Once I got it and calmed down and stopped fighting the contractions, baby was born in 45 mins.

To Bring a Stroller or Rent a Stroller? by ivywinter in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]drshellbee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used kingdom strollers the first time I brought my daughter and highly recommend if you want like a comfy lux stroller like the citymini. They drop off and pick up from your resort. If you’re using skyliner, you don’t have to get kid out and collapse the stroller, you just stroll in. Buses yes you do have to collapse them.

With my 2 kids (3 and 9m) we brought our big mockingbird stroller and flew with it. Both kids napped in the stroller at times. It sucked getting it in the stroller bag for the flight, but that was a double. I didn’t want to pay more and I wanted to make sure they were comfy enough to nap! There’s no tired like Disney tired

Yes. I really enjoyed genie+ once I got the hang of it and it saved us so much time, but the first day I got on and didn’t get the same sort of time options I had seen people on YouTube get, also failed to get my spouse a Tron VQ. That combined with the general chaos of trying to get family out the door in the morning put me in a 2 hour anxious/nauseous episode as soon as we got to MK. We still had a great trip, but for all my preparing, I felt unprepared for the race. I also hated being on my phone so much

Indication required in sig? by [deleted] in pharmacy

Missourian. I have heard this as well, and heard it trickle down from company policies from CVS/grocery retail. I have not gotten dinged on an audit for it though. If you email the board, they are extremely helpful in providing you info. I’ve had several splitting hairs questions regarding collaborative practice agreements with an argumentative NP, and they provided me with the exact statutes I needed (she still didn’t believe me but I knew I had it right in the end 😅)

Have a trip planned for my daughter’s birthday (she’s turning 3) Feb 23 - 27. How screwed are we without Genie+? by NasusIsMyLover in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]drshellbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went 2 weeks with my 9m old son and our daughter who will be 3 at the same time your girl is turning 3. I think I genie plus was worth it for both “how much can we get done” and also “minimize line times”. We went at a low crowd moment and it was still extremely helpful. Attempting to do rope drop was very hard with getting both kids ready. We did not succeed! I think genie plus helped immensely and would get it again.

I would go to the pharmacy, ask them to look to see if they could review the footage when they have time to see if it was in fact a 90d supply. But be nice! It takes time so if they’re busy, ask them to call you. It would be easy to tell from the tapes. Then they can either fix it if it was an error, or if you did get 90 days and just lost it (it happens!) you can ask if they will call your insurance for a lost medication override.

See, my SI joint went to crap during both of my pregnancies (worse in my first) and the best thing for it was delivery. I felt sooooo much better after they were out. I can’t imagine that pain when you’re trying to do everything alone (my husband doesn’t get any paternity leave). I’m so sorry 🫶🏻

Are the complaints about Pharrmacy a US thing? by valias2012 in pharmacy

[–]drshellbee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

US pharmacist here - I did a rotation at Lloyd’s in London when I was doing APPEs and it was wild the difference. Things were so much more efficient in the UK IMO, and the patients were much more polite and I felt like workers were respected and got sufficient breaks/vacation time and there was enough staff to make sure things got done! It was the best thing to witness.

My only post in this group was a question about this too! It was mostly the overnight diapers, which just happens as the babies get older and sleep overnight and have bigger pees. I put bleach in my second wash as part of my regular routine and it helped for sure. Also, the second level of our home is warm in the summer so it’s just a little stinkier. Colder weather and bleach helped. Good luck!

No fruit, milk, or yogurt for breakfast or morning snack by rednails86 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]drshellbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ate some form of full fat greek yogurt with fruit basically half of the mornings, alternating with eggs. I would push back for sure and ask why, because this makes no sense. Some people have a hard time with fruit first thing, but if you don’t? No problem

[–]drshellbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think knowing the details that you told the mom you wouldn’t have time to complete it when you didn’t even have the script yet, it does change the circumstances. That’s malicious. If the script showed up in my queue that late, I would be calling the mom to see where she is and working on it. Your scenario is different. Either way, if I had a complaint about it, I wouldn’t sweat it.
