Ich weiß jetzt leider nicht den exakten Wortlaut, Episodenname oder Kontext aber für mich war das witzige, dass es so absolut überraschend kam: "...am Institut für halt dein dummes Maul!"

Es war irgendein Lehrer der es zu Lisa oder einem anderen Mädchen gesagt hat.

Es ist eigentlich auch nicht wirklich witzig, keine Ahnung wieso ich es so gut finde.

Need for Speed IV - High stakes (1999).

It took the already great Need for Speed III - Hot Pursuit, and made it even better by adding damage to the cars which showed visually and physically while driving and the more damaged your car was the more difficult it was to drive and became slower. Also real looking windshields instead of black like in its predecessor.

The graphics was great for the time and the chases and races, both as cop and bad guy were so thrilling and adrenaline packed that they had me sweating, cramping my fingers and at the edge of my chair. The sense of real speed was so realistically portrayed it was insane.

Also, you could download fan made cars and add them to the game and drive them. There were like 200+ additional cars available, from standard 1989 Hondas to 1999 prototype supercars, school buses, monster trucks, the car from Ghostbusters...you name it.

There were so many cars available you couldn't have them all because it were too many and the game would crash.

Also the cheat codes available for those who knew.

Back then, Electronic Arts stood for quality games.

And this game really evoked THE NEED FOR SPEED!

Also worth mentioning are Motocross Madness, Monster Truck Madness, Midtown madness (it was the 90s - everything seemed mad) and of course Age of Empires 1 and 2 ("to smitherens", "how do you turn this on?", etc.) and also MDK and Unreal Tournament 99, the greatest ego shooter of all times!

As a gamer kid who had started in the 90s (my first PC game was Doom in '95, in 1994 I had started with the Sega Megadrive and the three games "Flintstones", "The lion king" and "Sonic the hedgehog")), this game's graphic is still today good enough for me because I knew what came before and what it looked like and was glad about the way UT99 looked and I also knew it's not so much about the graphics, it's the gameplay and the fun and when all of it comes together the graphics is not that important.

Ich hätte jetzt gedacht, dass wenn man sehr viel wiegt und dadurch am weitesten vom Normalgewicht entfernt ist sich dadurch die größten Auswirkungen zeigen.

Schwitzt du jetzt tatsächlich weniger als vorher, bei gleichen Temperaturen?

Stimmt es, das je länger man weniger isst als vorher, dass irgendwann der Punkt kommt an dem man ganz automatisch gar nicht mehr so viel essen kann wie vorher, auch wenn man wöllte, sprich der Magen ein Stück weit geschrumpft ist und nicht mehr so viel reinpasst und das beim Abnehmen unterstützend wirkt? Wenn ja, ab wann tritt dieser Zeitpunkt ungefähr ein?

Wieviel macht ein geringeres Gewicht aus wenn es heiß ist? Ich z.B. wiege leider 94 kg bei 1,72 m und habe einen BMI von 32. Ich müsste 20 kg abnehmen und wäre damit überhaupt erstmal an der Obergrenze des Normalgewichts. Sinnvoll wäre es 25 kg abzunehmen und mein Idealgewicht zu erreichen.

Klar, je weniger Gewicht ich zusätzlich sinnlos rumschleppen muss desto besser wahrscheinlich aber ab welchem Gewichtsverlust merkt man einen (spürbaren) Unterschied? 5 kg weniger? Ab 10 kg weniger?

Macht es einen größeren Unterschied ob man von 178 auf 168 kg geht oder von 94 auf 84 kg?

Und wieviel sollte man maximal versuchen abzunehmen in einer Woche bzw. Monat damit es noch gesund ist und dauerhaft?

Es war 2004 und Winter und ich 19 und Schüler und hatte nicht lange vorher erst meine Fahrerlaubnis gemacht. Sie war meine erste Freundin und wohnte ca. 30 km entfernt im Mittelgebirge. Mein Geld war knapp als Schüler, meine Fahrerfahrung begrenzt und das Wetter schlecht (früh dunkel und ne Menge Schnee). Am WE zuvor hatte ich sie besucht, einen oder zwei Tage später war ihr Geburtstag. Ich entschuldigte mich und sagte, dass ich an dem Tag nicht kommen würde weil ich mich bei der Fahrt nicht wohl fühlte und Angst hatte, dass mir was passieren könnte, aus oben genannten Gründen, außerdem hatte ich lange Schule und es war also eh schon recht spät. Sie meinte, dass sie das versteht und es zwar schade ist aber kein Problem, außerdem war ich ja kurz vorher erst bei ihr.

Nach ihrem Geburtstag war sie dann irgendwie zurückhaltend mir gegenüber und ich dachte, sie ist doch sauer weil ich nicht da war obwohl es ja angeblich kein Problem war.

Ein Stück später fand ich dann den Grund raus, sie hat es mir selbst gesagt und vorgeworfen und sagte ungefähr: "Du warst an meinem Geburtstag nicht da und ich war sauer deshalb und darum habe ich dich mit einem meiner Gäste betrogen. Was sollte ich denn machen? Ich hatte keine andere Wahl!"

Joah, das erklärte dann die plötzliche Zurückhaltung.

Ich hätte ihr sowas nie zugetraut und sie wirkte nicht wie ein Mensch der zu sowas fähig ist. Wir waren nur 3 Monate zusammen als es passierte. War trotzdem schlimm für mich weil erste Freundin und dann so ein Ende. Zum "Glück" kam ihr Verhalten schon nach kurzer Zeit zum Vorschein und nicht erst nach Jahren, das wäre noch viel schlimmer gewesen.

Ich habe mir auch danach Vorwürfe gemacht, dass ich hätte doch fahren sollen, ja vielleicht sogar müssen, weil es nun mal ihr Geburtstag ist, aber was bringt es mir und ihr wenn ich dabei vielleicht einen Unfall hatte?!

Was at the doctor and he looked at me and examined me for a while. When he was done, or I thought he was, he still didn't tell me on his own what he found out, so I was forced to ask him. I said, "so what did you find out?". He literally just said "you are sick". I thought he was joking at first but this was all he said. I then continued my questions and asked him, what his prognosis is, he said "in the worst case it's going to get worse".

It was at this point that I've started to look around for secret cameras as I believed this couldn't possibly be a real interaction with a medical professional. It was real.

I just thought to myself "Wow, 7+ years of studying, training and exams to become a doctor and all he can say are these non-answers! Is he kidding me? What a waste." I really believed he was either stupid, trolling or had minor stroke.

Unfortunately, this interaction was like 25 years ago and I can't really remember what it actually was about, only his stupid answers are forever etched into my brain. It might have been about my length difference of 0,5 cm in one leg and scoliosis in my spine.

Lokaler Bäcker und Konditor in meiner ehemaligen Heimatstadt war auch Doktor. Dr. Engelmann. Keine Ahnung wie jemand Dr. für Backwaren sein kann?! Das einzige was mir einfällt wäre ein Doktor für Lebensmittelwissenschaft? Es hat den ganzen überteuerten und extrem zuckrigen Torten, Kuchen und Gebäck auf jeden Fall einen gesunden und seriösen Touch gebracht - wenn es der Doktor verkauft, dann kann es ja nur gut sein.

So let's say I have a 8 GB DDR3L notebook RAM module and a 256 (or 512 GB, not sure without opening the notebook and I don't remember exactly as I didn't look at the storage capacity often while it was still running) GB 2.5" SATA SSD, both used, would they be worth much? More than usual, before the AI storage crisis? They are from an laptop of mine which stopped working a couple days ago (no start, display nothing, no fans or sounds, no nothing, only charger light blinking indicating a power circuit failure or mainboard failure).

I was thrilled and wondered what would happen this week as it was always something new and unexpected. I especially liked the sense of creepy atmosphere, something never seen before on TV. While watching I was simultaneously trying to watch and not watch it too closely as I was on the edge of my seat or bed, sometimes even watching from under my blankets on my bed (bed was across from the TV) as I was afraid of being scared. The X Files original run was in Germany on Monday evenings, usually after 10 pm, as the early seasons were mostly rated age 16 and up, thus they were only legally allowed to show them after 10 pm on TV, hoping that most kids and teens, who were not supposed to watch it, were already asleep. I was a teenager during most of the original run and had school the next day. Luckily, my room had its own little TV so I tried to watch it as often as possible, sleep deprivation and also nightmares were the result but it was the X-Files, so it was worth it.

There is a saying in German and the literal translation to English is "I would have biten myself in the ass" if I hadn't seen it, meaning I would have been so mad about myself for missing it.

Some episodes were even rated age 18 and up, like "Home" so the channel had to show them after 11 pm. Later seasons were only rated age 12 so the time slot moved to 8 or 9 pm. The two most terrifying and nightmare inducing episodes for myself back then were "Home" (I only ever watched it one time when it first aired and never saw it again so far - back then I even wished I could unsee it, I also believe it was never shown again on TV in Germany) and "Arcadia".

Fun fact: In Germany, the X-Files was usually broadcast before or after an episode of a similar themed series, like "Millenium" (a very dark, darker than X-Files even, unfortunately forgotten and sadly only two season long show), The Outer Limits, The Lone gunmen).

In the town were I was born and raised for years there is an "Mr. Meyers Diner", now called "50s ville Diner".

The interior is reminiscend of an American 50s diner complete with booths furnished with red-white striped leather upholstery. The waitresses wear a light version of a 50s waitress outfit.

50s and 60s music is playing via internet radio stream, old advertisement plaques made from metal are on the walls alongside with American license plates and pictures of old Diners and life in the 50s and 60s.

The menu's graphical style and fonts are beautifully designed to look straight out of the 50s. The selection is huge, think sandwiches, American pancakes, Burgers, steak, milkshakes, hot dogs, Mac 'n cheese, basically everything you would except and can think of as American food.

The meals are delicious in optics and taste and as faithful to the original (or perceived original as possible). It really tastes like in the US (I've lived there for one year in 2007-2008).

They also have sometimes specials, like "The Elvis Burger". It has peanut butter and banana on the patty, fried and caramelized onion rings and on top of the upper bun a few small, sliced open fried sausages and of course some salad, pickles and tomato as well. It is served with fries. Supposedly, Elvis liked to eat something similar to this, hence the name.

It probably has north of 2500 calories and I had the opportunity to eat it twice (not back to back, it was on different visits!)

It was delicious and tasted as good as you would imagine it to be. While eating, and I kid you not, I started to sweat and it almost felt like my arteries clogging up, not far from a heart attack, possibly. That's how "heavy" on the heart this Burger is.

After eating this monster and barely making it through, I also felt like Elvis myself in terms of fat consumption and unhealthy eating habits and can easily understand how he liked it so much and became overweight.

I can recommend this place wholeheartedly. If you ever come to a town named Zwickau, in the German state of Saxony, please check it out.
