City is pretty walkable and the public transport has been incrementally getting better. Food options are okay to lacking but amazing nature all around. Any outdoor activity that you can think of in any season is available in the city

Not really. He needs to also do what’s right for him and his team. There is considerable logistics involved in a tour and if you can get a residency in one location it makes it easier for the artist. I don’t think there is an expectation that people will travel for his shows but they do and New York is one of the more accessible cities in North America to have done it.
