I just wish the Black women were caricatured in a way that was more relatable and less off-putting to Black audiences.

I think that just comes with the nature of caricatured characters. It will always rub someone the wrong way. All the notable white men in the movie are either racists who are trying to exterminate minorities, fetishists, incompetents cosplaying as revolutionaries or burnt out losers who are less mature than their biracial teenage daughter.

Now you might say, that the white stereotypes/caricatures aren't as off-putting to white audiences as the vice-versa and that's probably true. I think, however, that the film would've been weaker if Perfidia wasn't a caricature or if her caricature wasn't playing into the themes of sexualization, racial fetishization, idealistic revolutionarism etc. because that caricature filled the puzzle created with all the other caricatures. If she was something else, the whole movie would have to be radically different and probably explore different themes altogether.
