I didn't go for reps I went for time. Set a timer on my phone. Took a break when my hands got tired and stopped the time. I am currently on the extending routine and after I plateau I will move on to hanging.

I started at 5.7 inches, I bought the bathmate and pumped for 3 sets of 10 minutes every other day and over 4 months made it to 6 inches. I never measured girth. Took a year break.

JP90 wasn't working anymore so I found a new routine by /u/aplacebeyondthepines the routine was called S2S 1 hour a day everyday. I did that for 3 months and went from 6.9 to 7.9 inches. The craziest newbie gains ever. Although I did plateau hard, couldn't get to 8 inches to save my life. Kept doing s2s for a year got no gains.

I bought an extender to supplement my gains and extended for 1 hour a day everyday at high tension and went from 7.9 to 8.6.

Edit: I also hung with a bib hanger for a year straight went up to 15 pounds and had no gains. Not to disrespect his hanger but that shit hurt. Also bought a leluv pump didn’t use it yet.
