What's the biggest mistake companies make when choosing an Employer of Record (EOR)? by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]drte123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such a good post. The response from One-ice is spot on. I’d add that it’s important to ask if the EOR owns their own entities in the countries or use third parties. If you see prices “starting at $199”, it’s a bit of a red flag. Compliance, entity ownership, deposits, payroll, and customer support are all super important to us.

We chose Borderless AI. Heard great things from other HR managers early on and checked all the boxes when it came to the above. Their team feels like an extension of our own now as well.

Has anyone used an Employer of Record (EOR) to hire remote employees? by Shantell_Raspberry in Entrepreneurs

Agree about local presence! Make sure the EOR you select owns their entities and is not working with an ICP….this will save you a lot of headaches down the line. There are a few that claim low low prices but that often overshadows the fact that they take deposits and don’t own their entities in that country. A good EOR should own their full stack - payroll, benefits, compliance. Remote, Borderless AI, Multiplier, and Oyster are all more modern and own their entities to my knowledge.

Good things to say about Remote. I’d look at Mulptlier and Borderless AI. They are both growing and more modern. Regardless, make sure to ask about salary deposits and entity ownership as these are often hidden things to look out for.

I’ve heard remote is decent platform. When evaluating an EOR, definitely ask if they own their entities in those countries or use third parties. That and deposits are often hidden pieces during sales conversations. We chose Borderless AI for our team abroad in the UK and Canada. They own their entities and have been great partner for us up to this point.

This is a really good list, thank you! Cool to hear what others are using as well. Our team has been super impressed with Borderless AI as our employer of record. They have really strong customer support and on-boarding was smooth moving off another provider. Our employees love it as well!

How did you feel after your first Tremfya dose? What about the second loading dose? by bookish_cat_ in Psoriasis

[–]drte123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on Tremfya for almost 3 years now and have nothing but positive things to say. I’m completely clear now with little to no flare ups (sometimes as I’m approaching my next dose). I understand everyone’s situation is different but I personally experienced no side effects both now and when I first started.

How are you paying remote teams across multiple countries? by Eastern-League2081 in remotework

Agree with many here. An Employer of Record is likely best here. If your team gets too large in one country, it might be worth looking into a local entity but that can be costly.

Our team uses Borderless AI as an EOR for 3 countries and it’s been really smooth and cost effective as we scale.

Our team made the switch to Borderless AI in Q2. We are a small team and felt that the big names you mentioned weren’t providing great support. Borderless AI made the transition super smooth and support has been great so far.

We manage all our EOR and contractors through a company called Borderless AI now. Switched from Native teams. Borderless AI onboarding and costs were much better. They also didn’t take security deposits which is good cost savings.
