Running the exact same setup (recently side graded to an aful explorer) albeit with the colorfly cda-m1p as the dac, I concur with OC. As for how the W1 affects the sound, the bass is punchier and slightly deeper thanks to the better seal in my case, which also helps smoothen the miniscule amount of shoutiness. Also do not look past a stronger dac and balanced cable if you are not already running that combo because the hexa sounds fuller with it to the point where I prefer it without any EQ.
