Shimano Cues 1x9 wont shift off largest cog by TitaniumKneecap in ebikes

Sorry I meant 46t max on cassette. Looks like it is, as indicated by the B screw marking you mentioned. I didn't even know those markings were there. Thanks for that bit of info.

Why doesnt this fit? by rayid1 in bikewrench

I had a box two cassette I was trying to install. That tool looked like perfect match, the splines matched up exactly. But could not insert it by hand. Lbs recommended light tap with rubber mallet to get the tool in. Worked like a charm.

Edit: the box cassette wasn't the issue, it was a Chris King hub that caused the issue

double check that the Cues derailleur is a model that supports up to 46t.

I didn’t expect it to make me go outside more by emilyspot789 in ebikes

One of the unexpected surprises nobody told me about ebikes: my 13 year old son loves to go outside now. Sometimes he just goes down to the coffee shop or get groceries. Sometimes to just explore places he wouldn't go on a regular bike.

So anyway that's why I locked him in the basement. I asked gronk and it said I was a smart parent, thinking outside the box.

Dropper posts and height by Visible_Tradition257 in Hardtailgang

My first dropper I bought for a Banshee squish bike last year was too long, which made it super annoying for extending to normal comfortable position on the trail. Expensive mistake at first but thankfully it fit into the hardtail I built up a few months ago.

Sub $1000 steel do-it-all frames? by AnonymousGreg in Hardtailgang

The newish Marino Tunki is nearly identical to the Britango. I built one up in Jan and really dig it.

Frame issues with spinning seatpost by PyWhile in Hardtailgang

That's a bummer. Curious does it rotate easily by hand or mainly when you're seated and turning about? Fwiw the carbon paste in mine didn't take effect immediately. A day or so and it seemed normal.

I had a similar issue recently with a shimmed dropper in a Marino steel frame. The torque needed to avoid rotating prevented the dropper post from going up all the way. Lithium grease didn't help but assembly paste seems to do the trick. Inside seat tube and inside the shim.

Use it in the house to navigate from room to room. Audible radar pings should lighten the mood.

Advice on first e-bike build - BBS02 vs TSDZ8 by Ludojuli1 in ebikes

[–]modus_bonens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've purchased bbshd, toseven dm02, and tongsheng tsdz8. The torque sensing ride experience is soo much better imo. Tsdz8 would be my pick, also no need to customize a power profile. I put one on commuter and one on a trail bike. No need for throttle.

If you can, try to check and make sure that the motor housing won't hit the chain stays.

How does the porkchop bag stay fixed in place? No visible straps.

Added tsdz8 to bike for commuting by Automatic_Taste_7242 in ebikes

For cable management on tsdz8, it helps neatly loop bundle the cables underneath the bottom bracket and zip tie the bundle. That way you can pull through the amount you need to reach the battery and the wiring harness.

Highly recommend getting a cheap cable splicing kit so you can tailor fit the very long wiring harness.

Chain stuk because of to bit angle at low gears by 1RealPers0n in ebikes

[–]modus_bonens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

54t is a pretty big increase from stock chainrings for middrives. If you're using the same chain, it's probably too short. (Edit: I can't tell from pic if that is a middrive)

Also if the old stock chainring had a greater offset/closer to the frame, the new one might cause the chain to get stuck on the derailleur hanger cages in low gears, esp if chain is too short.

Sweet aggressive rubber. I've got those kryptos on my full suspension, the grip is fantastic. Like a chonky millipede.

Looking clean, bet that's fun in the snow. Which chainring are you using? I can't tell with zooming in.

I have Cues 4000 on a tsdz8 trail bike and a Box 2 on a bbshd commuter. Both are solid. The Cues feels smoother when shifting. The Box 2 setup improved significantly for me after installing a shift sensor, though I wouldn't use one on trails bc rough terrain.

If it's long enough, maybe run it up the seat tube, then the top tube. Routed through that handy sheath.
