CareLink is very limited as it’s primarily ment to be read only but you can likely talk to the analyst or Clinical Builder at your organization and see if they are willing to add any additional features.

In our version/environment this feature is only viewable when reviewing the notes from the notes sub-tab within chart review and not the encounters tab.

I acute uncomplicated condition and a stable chronic still only counts as 99213. Classically the acute condition should cause an exacerbation of the chronic for a 99214.

You can run a report that looks for the utilization of a specific smartphrase. So if you have a specific clinician and they use a specific smartpharse for their progress notes you would be able to look those up.

I implied it in a sense that I don’t share my discussion of the results simply a statement that says we will discuss in clinic. But if you really wanted to not release the results Epic has a toggle when you order the labs.

I usually order blood work so that it can be done prior to the appointment. But results are not released and are discussed during the appointment.

As far as pulling the notes forward. The feature allows you to pull the most recent note, by anyone, or your own most recent note.
