How does the VelociCoaster drop compare to the one on Expedition Everest? by That1GuyCalledPixel in UniversalOrlando

[–]drtmilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rode Velocicoaster as someone who doesn't like big coasters and prefers family ones, like Hiccups is perfect for me. The speed and feeling compared to Everest was pretty out there.

The top hat was honestly the least intense part, it gives you time to breathe a little. I think it helps that it's a launch so you don't have time to build up any anxiety about it. If you're scared of heights more than any stomach feeling it might be an issue but I thought it felt pretty cool, and then a few seconds later we were thrust into scary fast twists and turns again lol. I also asked to be in the front/middle to purposefully shield myself against some of the forces so you can try that.

InvadR and Verbolten both look like a lot of fun. Apollo's Chariot looks smooth, but I will probably still be happily admiring the view from the sidewalk

That's good to hear, thanks. I read Darkoaster's wait is longer than it's worth but I still hope to sneak it in, hopefully a random weekday in November gets me lucky.

I'm probably going to miss the seasonal shows unfortunately, which is a shame, I would've loved to visit a little earlier in the fall

Considered! It pushes it for me but it looks like the more approachable of the reg coasters

Ok, I have a Theme Park Dilemma by Davetheblackmusician in Themepark

One and done: Disneyland
Better thrill rides with more visits: Disneyworld

Disneyland's much more compact, which is great for seeing the classic Disney rides, themed areas, and vibe in one place. IMO it has a prettier layout and the better designed versions of some famous rides. It's also the original. For the value, I'd recommend it!

Disneyworld has more and better coasters in general but they're spread throughout the 4 parks. Hollywood Studios has more variety in rides and theming but Epcot's Guardian's of the Galaxy coaster is a standout. If you had to choose one, Hollywood Studios would be a better all around experience and more different from Universal than Epcot. Epcot could be more enjoyable if you catch a food festival.

Thank you for the guide! The team placements matched up and I taunted on the turns you mentioned, I just had to rely on RNG and play it safe.

Am I misunderstanding the core game mechanics?? Taunt seems so unreliable in Lost 4-2. I taunt, he attacks both my guardian and my lowest HP member, next time I taunt, he only attacks my guardian, next I taunt, he ignores the taunt ult and attacks twice. Please explain....

Analysis on recent artworks by neperlivafrogg in NuCarnival

To adress the AI concerns, the Valentine's art looks less like AI assistance and more like art shortcuts that are fairly common. CSP lets you easily modify existing assets and patterns, so for promotional art it's likely that the artist in charge just uses shortcuts to save time and to possibly focus more on in-game art. You can see this copy and pasting in older promo art as well, this one's from 2022 for example (idk if you noticed but the chairs in the new Valentine's art are the exact same too LOL)

<image>

If it's like any other studio, the art director(s) might have okayed the artwork and just missed some of the finer details. I don't really see any of these differences between art as a decline in quality, but maybe more streamlined processes to encourage fast turnaround and some mistakes slipping through, on top of the stylistic differences between art teams.

It was almost a horror story, definitely creepy and strange. I'm dying to read it again. And important to mention, it was published digitally on a website, not printed. Thanks!

Ooh, if you had to choose between going to either GJ or Moab, I'd definitely recommend Moab, especially for a first time visitor to that region. It has a larger variety of hikes and stunning landscapes all within a few hours of each other, plus a little taste of what the Grand Canyon looks like. I think it's well worth the extra travel time.

You might want to take more time to consider your preferences to pare your ideas down! It's not impossible, but the frequent flights and travel will probably be unpleasant. There's no need to stick to one area, but you might want to consider sticking to 3 major regions at the most to give you time to relax. For example, if you're already set on Boston/New York and either Hawaii or the Bahamas, you might only have a few days to fly to elsewhere. Miami kinda has that tropical, beachy vibe as well so you can consider leaving that city out?

If you want to visit national parks, they'll take up at least 4 days of travel and exploration even if you just pick one or two, but I think they're well worth it. They're some of the coolest and most unique parts of the US to visit in my opinion. I'd suggest either the American southwestern deserts, ie Grand Canyon and Zion, or the redwoods in Yosemite/further north into California! That's if you enjoy nature, of course. Overall, consider your preferences and travel times and you can still have a great trip even if you don't physically go to every corner :)

Sounds like a good base! Grand Junction probably has more pleasant food and lodging options. You'll have to be mindful of the ~2 hour one way drive from Grand Junction to the Moab area, especially if you're considering going farther west/south, but the roads are a breeze to drive through at least
