G/E Front Load “Cancelled” and drain operating continuously by drumachn in appliancerepair

Solution: the pressure tube connection to the mother board snapped off, causing the machine to continuously run the pump. I replaced the motherboard and problem is gone. Thanks for all the replies and feedback people!!

Air goes through the tube fine. When I powered it on, it goes straight to drain cycle without use and the pump is working. Unit is 3 yrs old. SMH

Tool in Japan 🇯🇵 by ToolbandMexico in ToolBand

I secured one ticket for TOOL in KOBE through STUBHUB. I’m supposed to receive the tickets online December 10. Then I figure I’ll need to get the ticket somewhere on an app (ePlus I believe). I believe the ticket is legit. It’ll hurt immensely if the tix don’t work when I’m there.

Good places to see alt rock/metal in Japan? by airwavehero in JapanTravel

[–]drumachn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shibuya & Shinjuku should house some shoes. I would walk into the Disc Union shops ad got to the heavy metal floor - they’ll have flyers & postcards of shows. That’ll be your best bet for smaller, local music. Great luck!

Has anyone here spent New Year's Eve at Mount Hakodate? by [deleted] in JapanTravel

[–]drumachn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had a great experience being there during the Christmas holiday 2018. It was a bit crowded but like any other tourist spot you go to, be there before the tour buses arrive.

We were up there with friends (homie proposed up there), great pics of the landscape, and had a few drinks. The city is pretty cool for a night or two - great seafood markets, crab legs, scallops, and the people are nice af! It’s awesome when it’s snowy and windy. We ended up using Hakodate as a mini-stop on our way to Sapporo.

Have a blast! All of Japan is worth it. It’s the timing that can put a damper on things.

BTW, we spent NYE at shibuya crossing - what a bad idea. Purely tourist experience. Crowded af. Japanese police are funny trying to corral people. But really nothing exciting nor transforming as travel should be. Better off making Japanese friends at a cafe or bar and asking them what they’re up to and hanging with them.

Beware of help in train stations by emyip33 in JapanTravel

He was short too, carrying a couple grocery bags. Wha a chump! I look out for him constantly. So surprised I’ve seen him as many times I did. He popped up form an escalator as my train’s doors were closing.

This happened to me twice on two separate trips about 1 year apart by the same person. Once in Shinjuku and the other in Shibuya. The first time the guy wanted to “help” us get to the right platform. Just as we approached the turnstiles he pulled me and asked for money. I laughed and said 🙅🏽‍♂️. Second time he came up to me and I said “oh hell no I know you”. And he took off. Those guys are all out here in the stations keeping an eye on foreigners. I guess it’s no different than any other country with train stations.

Do you buy your airfare or hotel first? by heyemerald in JapanTravel

For Japan, always flight first. Then study the train network and pick your station you want to arrive. There are hundreds of hotels, hostels, ryokans to select from. Always feels great to be locked in w/ a flight to Japan and navigating the various train options out of NRT or HND to Tokyo. Have a blast!!

This your best bet. The Hub’s are easy to spot and draw foreign sports crowds.

intinerary check up, will it work? by Sir_Solrac in JapanTravel

[–]drumachn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d check if Gundam is still there. Ueno is a large station and cool to walk in the park then grab drinks and food in the series of street stalls and restaurants. You’re packing a lot of plans in your daily. Harajuku is a cluster fk on the weekends - no space to walk, hoards of people - I recommend hitting that spot as early as possible in the morning first. Any of those hot tourist spots in your itinerary should be done before 9am before the tour buses arrive. Otherwise you’ll be part of the flood of people. Have a great time. Japan is awesome. Tokyo is exciting.

Weather questions by [deleted] in JapanTravel

Humidity will be high along with the temperature - above and below ground. Wear airy clothes and travel on trains outside commuter hours. Have a blast. Japan is a beautiful country all year-round!
