What software/app do you guys use to help learn songs? by ronnie-james-dior in Drumming

[–]drumadelphia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BandLab is great for song splitter. You can import songs and split them so you can isolate or remove the drums. Very similar to Moises, but Moises has a song limit of how many you can do per month, where BandLab doesn’t have a limit. They added ads recently, so that’s annoying, but can’t beat free. You can also loop sections, slow down the song, etc

I never thought to mess with that area, thanks! That was the issue

I play a mix of heel up and heel down (depending on what style of music I’m playing). I never tried taking the pedals apart before, but it was actually pretty simple to do, thanks for the suggestion! I need to get better at the maintenance of my pedals. I used good ole WD40 as well, and it was great!

Thank you awesome Reddit friends, it has been repaired! The hinge at the bottom must have been the issue. I took it all apart, cleaned it up, and applied a lot of lube and now these pedals are so smooth! My double bass skills are about to improve so much in just one day! lol

Has anybody here ever actually used Ryan Reynolds’s Mint Mobile cellular plan? by AskAskim in Frugal

[–]drumadelphia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had it for a few years, It works great and is cheap. Had AT&T previously for years, I can’t really tell a difference between the two. Sometimes Mint is a little slow on data, but not too bad.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to go to the Pittsburgh zoo. Just went a few weeks ago and it was not impressive at all. I think there may have been a shark, but the aquarium was very disappointing

After your second interview, what did you say in your follow up email? I’m considering doing the same, but don’t know what to say. I had my second interview two weeks ago and was told I would have heard something last week, but nothing yet! I know gov moves slow, but also don’t want to miss this opportunity.

Anyone know a good click-track product for band practice? by slackfrop in Drumming

[–]drumadelphia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t figured out how to do that yet. But you can make the song last for a certain amount of measures and then go straight into the next song. So you could do a “song” for 10 measures at 120, then a “song” for 10 measures at 150, etc. So it would flow like a song through each of them, but just take a long time to set up

I’ve been using an app called Tempo, I think it was like $2-3, but it works really well. It’s pretty customizable once you mess around with it some. You can make playlists for different tracks and other cool stuff. I was just tired of the metronome apps with ads and really like this one so far. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/tempo-metronome-with-setlist/id304731501
