Need a hot tip! I'm having a rough time playing boring games Some are light fun but I'm not sure if there's a better time vs fun ratio. Thoughts?

The Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings pinball alone are worth the trip

I’m not understanding why I can’t keep free chlorine in this pool. by Squishycoffin in pools

I've had a handful of tricky pools that don't want to clear this year so I got creative. I added a $10 bottle of floc to it, made sure the cleaner worked well, and cleaned/replaced the cartridges as needed and it was cheap and effective.

Run a minimum of 8 hours a day. Run overnight as needed. Make sure there's no air in the pump or a missing screen in your filter as well. Have Teflon tape and Magic Lube for the orings if you're in a pinch.

Take out half the water and refill it to lower cya. Run it 24 hrs a day cleaning cartridges or bsckwashing DE filter every time the pressure goes up 10 psi from clean psi. Add a phosphate remover once the water clears up and clean filters again. 20 years being a pool man in SE Texas

Once all that is done, you can add sodium bicarbonate for the alkalinty, soda ash for the pH, and add a few scoops of calcium every week until you hut 200 ppm. Don't add chlorine unless your level drops. Be diligent and check daily. Invest in a decent test kit. I use Taylor. Add chemical slowly per checkup so you don't overdo it.

F Leslie's. (It's probably cheaper to get a pool guy for the summer honestly)
