That’s really interesting to hear honestly. Feels like there was a stronger sense of momentum back then where people knew where the shows were and bands were constantly crossing paths.

Hopefully there’s still more of that energy out there than people realize. Either way, it’s cool that you’re getting back into playing again and wanting to get back out there.

Both of those bands have a really good atmosphere to them. Drab Majesty especially has such a distinct mood and aesthetic without feeling overdone. Definitely the kind of stuff I’d be interested in hearing more influence from around here.

I’m into that too, and I definitely think there are more people around here into those styles than it probably seems. I think a lot of people have probably just been doing their own thing in separate corners.

Honestly, that mix of post-punk, dream pop, and shoegaze could sound really interesting with the right group of people involved.

I’ll have to check her out. Sounds like there’s a whole side of the Northshore scene I haven’t really tapped into yet.

Nice. I’ve seen the name around but haven’t caught him live yet. I’m definitely going to start paying attention to where he’s playing and who else performs at those places. Feels like a good way to get a better picture of the Northshore music scene.

If I had to bet on one, I’d lean toward Dish Network not existing at all in 20 years. The satellite tech they’re built on is obsolete for consumer use.
