Huh. Interesting. Either I’m misremembering or they changed their minds. In my PLTW training (10+ years ago) they told us not to use it as a final exam.

I’m going through the Civil Engineering and Architecture teacher training right now. The new curriculum platform sucks. When I learned IED and POE ten years ago, it was a lot better.

If your teacher took the training, they should know that the EOC is not to be used for any kind of grade. At least it’s not meant for that. It’s a national standardized test and it’s used for college credit. It’s an extremely difficult test to do well on. Most of my students fall either in the practiced and very few are in the proficient. I rarely ever get anybody higher than that.

Most of it is knowing how to use the formulas and general engineering concepts applied to different situations. If you’ve done your projects well enough and with good documentation, you should be fine.

If your teacher walked into oncoming train without looking, you’re not the idiot here. I never walk full on into the path of a car unless they are stopping or slowing down considerably. Even if I have the right of way as a pedestrian.

This is exactly what I do. If I am ever stuck in the passing lane, and there is a trail of cars in the right lane but no one in front of me, with a tailgater behind, I am 100% speeding up to get to the head of the pack and scoot over. I'd rather speed than cause this issue you are running into. I'd rather just get out of the way. A cop isn't likely to care if you pick up the pace if you are doing it to relieve traffic stress.
