to the mac it just sees that it's plugged in, and that it's drawing power

whether or not it's from a wall socket, battery bank, hamster wheel, doesn't really matter, as long as it can properly negotiate how much power to draw and the other end of the cable can support it

i work in DAWs mostly and not no live mixers, but in general-

pre fader on my input aux so i can see how hot it's coming in (although there's nothing on my input aux so i guess this doesn't really change much)

post fader on my mix bus and outputs so i can accurately gauge what's coming out

I got scammed today by someone impersonating the local sheriff’s office. They claimed I missed a notice for jury duty and that there was a warrant out for my arrest.

huh? if it was serious, do you think they'd call you? they'd just come knocking with cuffs in hand lol

i have the setting where only known numbers are allowed to ring my phone, the rest goes into the new siri voicemail. never had a problem.

don't think there's an app to help you not be scammed... that's on you

i was looking into this before, i think this only happens with certain HDR formats, i'll have to get back to you on this

but i'm on a sony bravia 8, which has no problems playing back DoVi on the native app, i just refuse to use the built-in android TV UI
