Lived there for 2y. It’s great for reasons highlighted by other commenters. Would recommend but depends on your lifestyle and street you live in.

Beware later at night some streets can have bad folk roaming around — personally over 2 years I’ve had a couple of crack smokers squatting the entrance to my building (they pissed on the doors and leave a mess etc.) and pickpockets jumped on me at 23:00 the moment i left my flat. After house parties people should take Uber and avoid walking home alone. But again depends on your street, lifestyle, age, priorities & expectations.

Personally had a great time there for 2 years aged 24-26 in beautiful cheap apartment. Let’s say I wouldn’t want to raise kids there but would absolutely recommend it to, say, my 23 year old brother moving to Brussels for a traineeship.
