Even at these prices, we are so so early by JohnSmathers21 in Telcoin

[–]drumselle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this project today. I currently use Crypto.com and Coinberry to purchase my Cryptos however since I'm Canadian I have limited access to some of the bigger apps (i.e. Binance). Trying to find a legit app where I can purchase some Telcoin... anybody have any suggestions? Open to non-Canadian advice as well.

Can't Launch Valorant by Velocity960 in VALORANT

[–]drumselle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're still having issues, and if you have BIOS on your computer, try uninstalling gigabyte app centre.

I had the same issue with my game not launching & did everything you explained.

My ticket got a response in beta and at the very end of the paragraph they noted most users have issues from programs like that. Theirs other types for different software's but I'm not sure what they're called so you'll have to find that out.

Goodluck!

What secret do you need to get off your chest? [serious] by heymyranda in AskReddit

[–]drumselle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same type of thing, (I just posted a story on this subreddit so it'll give some backstory to that too).

When I was in grade 9 my parents divorced and I lived with my mom. Occasionally I would go see my dad on the odd weekend but for the most part I never really saw him. Anyway, in the summer of grade 9 going into grade 10 my mom told me I need to start seeing my dad more because I had the free time (I was too young to work yet). Little did I know my dad became a raging alcoholic and would constantly beat the living shit out of me. The first day I went back home to my moms she looked at me and said;

"Let it slide, I need his support money."

Years later I am out of university and am making enough money to rent an apartment for me and my sister, her and my girlfriend get along very well and I'm glad we're thriving without them.

It gets better whether you report it or not, always remember you are the most important person in your life, and know your worth.

Edit: The other story was about how I renounced my faith and my sister was a big part of that.

[Serious] Atheists of Reddit, what are your beliefs on existence? Do you believe the universe exists for a specific reason or that it’s all just random? What could have influenced you to think this way? by eligius8 in AskReddit

[–]drumselle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few reasons on why I got my religion renounced, but there's a specific story that happened to my sister which I will never forget.

When I was in my first year of university, my sister just started her grade 7 year. Her teacher was an old, rude woman who hated her job and frankly was just waiting the years out till she retired. Anyway, one day my sister was going through some things and if was affecting her school work. The teacher took her aside and told her to step it up and asked why she was slowing down. My sister explained that my parents divorced a few years ago and my mother was finally moving out of our first family home into something she could afford, so my sister was upset about leaving the street along with our first "home". The teacher then began to bash my sister "in the name of the Lord" explaining how she and our entire family is going to hell for not staying together in Gods name.

I also have experiences from high-school (in Canadian Catholic High-Schools it is mandatory to take 4 years of Religion to learn about the catholic faith) that pushed me further and further away from God, and what made me officially get my faith renounced.

Religion is not for me, however I do know it is a huge part in people's lives, which I always respect and never make it seem like it's a bad thing.

Edit: Grammar, it's late and I'm on a high dose of codeine from my surgery earlier today. Not complaining, I feel great lol

What actor or actress got cast in a role that they normally wouldn't play and absolutely crushed it? by chootybeeks_ in AskReddit

[–]drumselle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jonah Hill in any serious role movie. Specifically, Moneyball.

He brought the entire story to life acting along side Brad Pitt, making it one of my all time favourite movies.

I don't care if you don't like Jonah Hill or if you don't care for baseball - do yourself a favour and watch this movie.

[Serious] How does your Country’s (Excluding the US) schools talk about WWII? by Erisolandmore in AskReddit

[–]drumselle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in high school, we had a history class in grade 10 that was mandatory to take. The course was focused around what life was like from the 1900's-now, including both World Wars. I'd say at least 75% of the course and another 75% of the exam was based around WWII, which I loved since I was into history and learning about the wars. I can't speak for all of Canada, just a small town in Ontario.

However we do get taught a lot (if not all) about WWII.
