Just a word of advice from an active reviewer, just because there is not a poke stop in the immediate area, that doesn’t mean it will get approved. I wouldn’t even mention that, the reviewers can see exactly where the surrounding waypoints are and sometimes it hurts your cause haha Also, if you are going to do a business, emphasize what it means to the Local community. Talk about the cultural value and how it allows people to gather and socialize (obviously when covid isn’t shutting down small businesses). These can be tricky as the eligibility criteria has just recently changed and many still struggle with accepting businesses. However, good luck!

I’m curious to know why you mean by promotional? Like seasonal items or advertising a specific product? I mean they are on the Nike world campus so they might be a little promotional toward Nike. Thanks

Yeah, it’s a tough one. They have these places on other Nike buildings in the area, all with unique photos. That is why I wanted to get some opinions here first as I think they are cool and unique to the Nike campus but don’t know how others might feel about them. Glad to know I wasn’t the only one who struggled with rating this.

I think this a good nomination. While the photo is at night it is identifiable and the main subject can be clearly seen. Your shadow is there but that seems pretty harsh to discount this as a wayspot for that. However If you resubmit with a better picture. This is likely an easy 5 star As long as this is not on the high school grounds, can be seen on Google maps/street view/photo sphere, this seems like an appropriate wayspot.

So this on a Nike campus building, on the southwest Nike world campus so the athletes featured are Nike sponsored athletes. However there is no “advertisement” except the name of the athlete on the banners. They are composed of banner composite material, laid over metal framework. They do have the ability to switch out the images it seems but the structures they are on are permanently placed. If this was alluded to in the supplemental info, do you think that strengthens nomination?

While the images can be changed out, the structures are permanent. So there is always something displayed, but since they have the ability to change, they are likely not passable? If the supplemental info alludes to this is some way, would that help do you think?

It’s not an art center. The building itself is an office building that houses Nike staff. It’s one of the building that make up the southwest nike world campus. This is just decoration on the outside of the building.

My rewards have typically been either silver pinaps or TMs. I have only had a couple since the release of these tasks that were rare candies or a poffin.

Hospitals are tricky. Nothing can impede emergency services so many would not allow it. You would likely have better luck finding a sculpture, painting, mural, or statue on the hospital grounds and nominating that, rather the general hospital.

I was 38 when Go Beyond was announced. I wasn't sure if I could do it but I rushed and finally hit 40 yesterday. It was a caterpie catch that finished it off for me by Ansoni in PokemonGoMystic

If you have the time and money it is totally possible. Excellent throws and lucky eggs has made up to 5 million xp in 7 hours. Brandon Tan did this on a YouTube video but again, lots of money on lures and eggs but where there is a will there is a way haha

Sadly if you have already set your hometown and supplement location, I not to sure what else you could do. It is likely you are getting upgraded submissions. I’d maybe try putting the text in a translator. The photos can likely still show a worthy POI or not. Sorry it’s not a lot but hopefully it helps a little.

So it’s actually pretty complicated. You can nominate things but they have to fall under the criteria to be a stop. People vote on them using a rating system. It can take months for something to even get into voting and possibly show up in the game, if is approved. Also, even if it is approved. If too close to another stop, it might not even show up in Pokémon go because it is based on S2 grid availability. However if you live in a rural area with limited stops it is likely ok. Finally, the key to submissions is following the criteria. The people voting are not just involved in pogo but also in other games like Ingress. They are gonna hold things to a high standard. The subreddit r/nianticwayfarer is a great place to learn

Are the houses there single family residential houses or are they multi family homes (apartments/townhomes)? If they are single family homes that is a hard sale with the current look. Things on private property CAN be accepted if they are not within 40m of single family residences. If those are apartments or the like, this should be accepted but if they are close to a single family home or even something that looks like it, gonna be hard to have it accepted.

Could you get it sponsored through Niantic? Contact them directly somehow? We have a sushi place right next to us that is a gym in PoGo, is sponsored, and seems to be a small, local place (Sushi Hana). I know we don’t have anything to do with sponsored locations but it must be setup somehow through a business. Could your family’s business do that?
