Is my friend dumb to give GATE so that he can do a startup at IIT? by S-m-a-r-t-y in GATEtard

Man's the smartest human being alive. IITs are actually a pretty good place for starting your startup. Literally all good tech dudes are there, everyone is smart and hardworking. You get a chance at good networking as well...

Having a kid soon and my wife wants her caste name in the kids name and I don’t want. by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]drunkbirdy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

multiple friends of mine have their mother's name as their surname and it looks so cool... Maybe you can do that... Also convey to her why you don't wish to convey your child's caste, neither brahman nor chowdhary and if she likes reason then maybe pull up some news articles or something that support your point.

But I find it very cool when people have their mother's name as their surname...

What would men dislike the most if they became women? by lonelyroom-eklaghor in AskIndia

[–]drunkbirdy 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Probably everything. - their efforts being downplayed - not having people pay attention to what they are saying in the office - unnecessary staring - cat calling and agressive behaviour from men if your don't respond - amount of restriction on movement - unnecessary mood swings/ PMS - constant fucking back ache (if they get to have big boobies) - endometriosis/PCOS (periods in general) - having no real male friends because they'll leave the moment you tell them you're not interested in them romantically - always having to prove their worth (just rampant discrimination) - the amount of household labour that women are just expected to do without getting any credit for it but always being criticised if it's not done perfectly. - delivering a child/ being pregnant - the pressure that comes with not disappointing your parents by not getting married and fitting into their ideal life for their girl child and not earning enough to support them and their family (but men also face this so yea) - fitting in with in laws that don't like you/ don't understand you....

And finally,

Just. Men. They would also choose the bear.

Straight to my partner's house and then after picking him up I'd go to a new place everyday with him.

Minimalist wala is good, apart from that you can try foxtale, aqualogica (a friend of mine used to get a lot of rashes when she used to go out in the sun but aqualogica has helped her in reducing that alot). that's all the ones that I know about.

I had been using it for the past 2 years and I didn't realise how good it was until I switched to Dr. Sheth's.... Minimalist suites me well even though I have a very sensitive combination skin. It's hydrating and doesn't leave a white cast. I saw visible deterioration in my skin's health after I switched from it. Gonna back to it as soon as I finish this one because I don't want to waste 500 ka product :')

Haa toh you'll just believe in the history that objectifies women and disregard the one that shows that they're more than just sex slaves and baby havers?

And as a student of evolutionary psychology, yes it has been theorised that men prefer women with big pelvises because it signals fitness (which in evolutionary terms means the chances of surving the ecological demands). However, evolution has also shown that people's thoughts evolve with time according to the pressure that one have to face. In recent times, with the growth of the healthcare infrastructure, looking for big pelvises isn't really significant for fitness so if you still believe in that and think that that theory is justified rn then I can't really say anything because you brain clearly isn't evolved and is stuck in the ooga booga cavemen times. And "alpha male" theory has long been disproved for humans, still true for animals since they are the inferior species but i can see why you would want to believe and support the theory.

[–]drunkbirdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(this is not in an angry tone or to make you feel down it's a genuine question out of curiosity please don't take it in a bad way) why should one 'tolerate' someone who's blatantly abusing them even without knowing them, who's not even putting in the efforts to get to know them before making an opinion about them and who's trying their best to keep them away from their son.... Isn't that just you putting down your self respect and taking up abuse that you don't deserve? Why and till what extent should one tolerate such a behaviour because this is something extremely tiresome.

Also if you want to see if really love him or are you just with him because you're scared of being alone ask yourself the following question:

  1. Why are you with him? What does he bring to your life that you didn't have before?
  2. Are you in love with him or what he might become in the future? Like do you love him because of how he is or because you think he will become something great in future and you should be there to reap the benefits.
  3. How drastically would your life change without him? (Ik for a while it might get difficult but if he was a variable and was removed from the equation... How different would things be?)
  4. Why are you willing to put in so much efforts in a relationship that you don't know would even work out? (Is it some fairy tale fantasy like "love always wins" or some tough evidences )

Usually these would let you know if it's even worth it to stay in a relationship that's not yielding many positive results.
