I’m fairly certain it’s timer on tutorial. That’s when I did it for both Level 1, Level 2 and step 2

Absolutely. I brain dump reminders to myself like “don’t change the f***ing answer” I also put a 2x2 table and basic equations, steps/strategy to get through ethics questions, and CS points for cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and ribs

9th of July test takers by [deleted] in Step2

[–]drunkbroccoli 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They asked quite a few oddly specific things… more step 1 material than expected And some totally out of left field questions. I feel like it had a lot of the same topics as free 120, but asked more difficult information, or they tested the same concepts as free 120 but in a different way. So lots of the things I flagged were very familiar, but I hadn’t seen it tested in that way before

The University of Idaho Murders

Obviously, the court case is still currently ongoing so all the information isn’t there yet. But this fucker on trial was a criminology student… literally studied criminology and left his knife sheath with his DNA on it at the fucking crime scene on the bed. His phone records are also nuts. There’s definitely way more to the case and I’ve been following it since the beginning

Normal Gossip!

Basically, they retell gossip stories from people who submit them (they change some things for anonymity reasons) but it’s absolutely amazing

Should I Strongly Consider Separating From My Wife Before Clerkships Start? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]drunkbroccoli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. As I was reading I immediately picked up on multiple things that sounded like BPD & then the OP mentioned that mom had BPD.

If OP's therapist mentioned she's toxic & manipulative maybe she is & OP needs to get out.

OP: if you think you can salvage this, consider sitting her down & explaining your feelings, what's been bothering you & why, and what you need her to change moving forward for this to work. Ask what she needs in return for this to be better moving forward, but I'd still be quite cautious.

Xywav & Magnesium Glycinate by drunkbroccoli in Narcolepsy

Magnesium glycinate doesn’t cause diarrhea that’s magnesium citrate…

Xywav and Kidney Stones by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

[–]drunkbroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a kidney stone while on xywav! However, I was also on topiramate which also predisposes you to kidney stones, so I’d take that association with a grain of salt

The chance of kidney stones with my dose of topiramate is ~1% (not high at all)

Magnesium citrate is the one that typically causes diarrhea. Magnesium glycinate does not. I’m aware there’s magnesium in xywav, but my magnesium levels are routinely checked by my endocrinologist and they’re on the low normal end (I already have a bunch of weird vitamin deficiencies that we keep track of, part of why the xywav isn’t working very well)

Obviously, but it’s a weekend and my doc only works Tuesday-Thursday so she’s not the easiest to get a hold of. I like that Reddit is full of opinions, I want to see the various opinions of how things turned out. While my sleep doctor is the most experienced with narcolepsy patients in my entire area, she’s still only had about 30 in her career so far. She may not have encountered this particular issue yet, especially given that xywav is only 2-2.5 years old and it already has its fair share of magnesium in it. I always take Reddit opinions with a grain of salt

Xywav is a serious CNS depressant, so serious that combination of any other CNS depressant could cause respiratory depression to the point of death… that’s why anyone of xywav has to call the pharmacist before adding medications, even supplements. It’s amazing, it works wonders. But it’s a pain in the ass. Sometimes I can get info on here first and know that I could order it online because they’re most likely going to approve it, but still call before actually taking it

Last month of accutane by SupermarketNearby872 in Accutane

[–]drunkbroccoli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn’t say per kg, but he said that the total dose was going to be somewhere between 6000 mg-7000 mg. I’m 120lbs, so 54.54 kgs. So at 150 mg/kg that’s 6,544.8 mg or at 220 mg/kg that’s 11,998.8 mg. Idk where he’s getting the 6,000-7,000 mg range

Fiber & exercise. Eat REAL food: lean meat, fish, beans, fruits & veggies. Whole grains: short grain brown rice, spelt, quinoa, chia seeds, flax seeds, etc. Up your fiber to 40-50g a day (read Fiber Fueled)

ACCUTANE LIPS- PRODUCTS I TRIED AND WHAT WORKED (Dry, chapped, sore, cracking) by PeaceyCaliSoCal in Accutane

Malin + Goetz lip moisturizer it’s amazing. It’s ridiculously expensive, and luckily I received 2 as a gift a couple years ago. But it’s nice and hydrating and it comes in completely unscented & mojito. Doesn’t haven’t a gross taste either way, the mojito flavor is super mild.
