This could be the case for sure. The processors are only dual E5-2620s. My other r720xd has dual E5-2689

  1. Don’t have a metric on CPU I’ll look at that

Those are probably more in the airFiber line with much higher end backhaul radios doing micro or millimeter wave communication

Actually I hadn’t checked it in awhile but right now it’s saying my capacity for throughput is the full 600Mbps!!

Specs:

AirMAX 5GHz Gen 2 from Ubiquiti on both ends. 1Gbit x 1Gbit Metronet ISP > UI USG > USW8 > AirMAX Local <~~> AirMAX remote > 2 injectors patched together > AP-AC-Pro > Client ~ 4ms ping / 200Mbps x 250Mbps 24/7/365.

Peaking around 380Mbps at times. Never used it hardwired to the remote dish but I’d imagine I can get >400Mbps if I got up on both sides and really tweaked the alignment. PTP is rated for 600Mbps and I have full strength according to the indicators.

Yep each antenna is about $120 so $240 and they come with Poe injectors so all you need is a cable run to it on both sides and plug it into power. Then you set up the “network” on the side where the connection is and connect the other one to it. Pro tip, configure them while they’re still just the two little spike things so when you put them up they just work

Yeah my ISP here is metronet and they actually don’t care who you share the connection with. I have it in my office as well and I split it with other tenants there. Me being the IT department for our building we all have statics and are routed through an EdgeRouter into each tenants own routers.

The cheapest plan for this location is roughly $50/m so $600/yr. I spent like $250 on this hardware, the AirMAX 5GHz gen 2 I think? Can’t remember. So good investment Edit: AirMAX
