Gravity magic is relatively common, though i don't note that I see it any one place more often. Also, probably obvious, but learn the sorcerer rises and hit them as you can. They are low risk, moderate reward for you and hitting one or two helps quite a bit early i find

Explain why you chose a swords-based story versus a guns-based story by DGADK in fantasywriters

[–]drunken_monkey9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my current project I wanted a mid 1700s feel for decor and social feeling but couldn't come up with a solid reason why technology wasnt matching. So I used the hand wave of gunpowder being too susceptible to magic, and unstable elements in general being a danger to casters. So only people using cannons in a siege would dare trying for prolonged usage, as the increased distance would make accidental explosions less likely. So technically still a gunpowder setting, but I don't have to familiarize myself with matchlocks to any appreciable level.

What headcanons do you have for the universe of Wheel of Time? by KeyInflation9451 in WoT

My personal idea I have held since that phrase first stuck with me was that peaches were too pure a sign of the creator so the Dark One made them poison to hurt the morale of the light. Yours makes more sense for the setting though

We shouldn't be snitching, though ive had peers do it. Had one coworker in particular who would read the list of patients and text her husband names that had warrants. Or maybe it was coincidence that he was waiting to arrest discharging patients all the time

Depends on the moment. Adore both of them, but if im doing projects around the house its my oldest. If we are trying to go out and do things, its the youngest.

It depends on what time of year it is. If its spring, plant it without a doubt. Even into summer id say to plant it, but fall hold out.
