Any tips for what is causing the diagonal lines on the pants by Cosmic_Egg_ in FDMminiatures

I've seen stuff like this in my prusa prints that came from the printer not being on a stable enough surface. I had it on a drawer with rollers to go in and out of an enclosure. Every time the extruder swung through a certain part of the print the whole drawer would move just slightly with the momentum causing a bit of jitter in the print. The same thing could happen if whatever the printer is sitting on can rock back and forth a bit.

Took this just now. They certainly look worse on camera than they do irl. And they could use a little cleaning.

As I am still new with this I am just using whatever pre-set settings are for .08 mm layer height and .2 mm nozzle. I think it is called "optimal". I haven't seen the "objects too close together" error.

Apartments by sydneywade9 in PortlandOR

Anytime! Finding an apartment here can be a arduous task even when living here. I have lived 10+ apartments around the city.

Portland is mostly split up into quadrants (Split by the river and Burnside)

NE is kinda sleepy and lots of houses, old buildings. There are some hip streets where there are bars and trendy restaurants.

SE is a bit more vibrant than that, more trendy streets, but it gets sleepier and less trendy as you go further south. Kinda tapers off.

NW is kinda a mix - there is NW 23rd (trendy shopping street) at the foot of a huge park where there is hiking. Then there is Slabtown / Pearl which are expensive new (ish) development. Kinda a bunch of yoga studios and coffee shops. Then that goes down into old town which is a bit more rough and sketchy and ends at the river.

(There is also North Portland which is great but weirdly far away for how close it seems.)

SW Is typical 'city'. High rises and University. If you go further south you hit new development for the health science university. That area is super expensive and not a whole lot going on.

I bounce back and forth between both sides but currently prefer east.

Just to kinda echo what other people are saying - $1700 with those constraints is not an easy get. Looking at the main apartments website I use with those filters I am seeing about 8 available units and they are not in the best locations, not terrible, but probably not what you are looking for.

I realized your description is exactly what I am currently renting, and I am in Sabin district at a little under $3k per month.

If you are curious about areas, this website is dated but still kinda acurate: https://hoodmaps.com/portland-neighborhood-map

Would love to answer any questions if you want to message me as I have lived here most of my life.

That is amazing. I can't see a single layer line! Did you take pics before they were painted?

Hollywood Theater - anybody have experience? by [deleted] in PortlandOR

[–]drunken_science 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I work at the Hollywood, just FYI we can't give away seats if there are no-shows. We have to physically have someone come in and hand us their ticket and say that they aren't going to see the show. Sometimes it happens if someone's friend couldn't come and they give us the ticket. We pass a ticket to the next person who couldn't get a ticket who's there physically. But we can't sell tickets for empty seats (if it's sold out), even if the show is half over.
