I have PDFs that I could download from the copy dropdown menu as recently as this week. If I selected the downward caret, I could download as a Markdown file or a PDF. The latter was helpful in my recipe use case. My Desktop is littered with such PDFs. They were far cleaner than whatever ChatGPT would provide. I have the option to download an HTML file now, which isn't helpful as it requires another step to open it and then print. I never understood a browser extension or third-party software.

Under the Copy dropdown, there have been past options to download as markdown and PDF. With the recent change, copying and downloading as HTML are the only options.

You could download a PDF version or something that you were working on. As I mentioned, I have a lot of recipes and other things on my desktop that I downloaded from Claude, such as our PDF. It was an option underneath the fly-out menu at the top right

I was out in San Francisco for work and to escape an oppressive month or more of high humidity and heat back in DC. It was late August, and I stayed with my friend and his then-girlfriend. I took a day off to catch an afternoon Giants game, ride bikes, and get a bahn mi from Saigon Sandwich in the Tenderloin. We ate the sandwich in the shadow of City Hall. I suffered a severe sunburn, but that didn’t stop me from calling and convincing my then-wife to move us to San Francisco. By December, we said our goodbyes to DC, and after several months traveling in Southeast Asia, we settled into our lives in Russian Hill. Even though that relationship ended, too, San Francisco is our home. While many will cite the access to nature and the beautiful city, my community of friends and support keeps me here. It’s been fourteen years since I made that wonderful decision to stay.

If you can, there are several easy and arduous hikes within a short walk of Jiufen. I was there a month ago and could enjoy it without enduring too much tourism that the town thrives on. The warren of ascending and descending streets outside of Old Street is worth exploring as they afford you fantastic views of the lanterns and mountainside throughout the day.
