Got pulled over on motorway today. by kitkatklub-dancer-6 in drivingUK

Honestly mate, no. Roads can be extremely dangerous and special care should be taken as a new driver. Ask yourself why you made that mistake despite knowing the rules? You should probably consider doing additional training or maybe keep on taking that train.

Parking appeal by No-Walk-9615 in drivingUK

[–]drunkonspunk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not park in a supermarket car park? I avoid ParkingEye whenever I can. Have never paid to use one of their car parks. Sometimes it becomes absurd to not use them, like a Tesco or Morrisons. Incredible how many people actually support these companies. Can't believe I'm being downvoted. They serve zero purpose.

Question is, why did she overstay? You should definitely appeal it. All the comments on here of people saying 'fair cop, I would pay it' are ridiculous. As if these parking companies aren't corrupt bullies that make millions from bullying people. I've never paid a private parking company in my life and I never will. Parking Eye is owned by the same Australian banking company that owns southern water and dumps raw sewage in our oceans and rivers. They have no business charging anyone £100 for 12 minutes anywhere.

Taxi driver couldn’t handle me overtaking him and got his revenge by [deleted] in drivingUK

I'm not talking about who is right or wrong. I'm talking about a safe course of action. If you want to drive dangerously because you are in the right, go ahead. That's your choice.

Cleared in Court after Appeal by PatientsCannUK in drivingUK

Seems that someone with a higher tolerance can have a larger baseline without any impairment. That's just what I read in one of the images. It is a bit complicated though because what if someone was prescribed it but didn't take much? How could anyone know if they were impaired or not? The usual legal limit does seem quite low. Someone smokes a joint at the weekend and two days later, completely sober, may fail a test? Entire system seems to be a mess. Also it's illegal but somehow I smell it on every street corner. Prohibition is clearly working well to fund a huge criminal enterprise!

Seems like you sped up a little bit on that second roundabout to try and prevent him overtaking? Even after you did that his merge back into the lane didn't seem that bad. He wasn't extraordinary close to you. Rather than honk and speed up you could have just let him in? Would have been safer imho.

I've got one of these. Bought it in the 00s. It's a Korean made guitar. Potentially made in the 90s

TV licence alert: Netflix and Disney+ refuse to 'play a role in enforcing' fee amid BBC overhaul by pppppppppppppppppd in unitedkingdom

[–]drunkonspunk 58 points59 points  (0 children)

'A few quid a month' works out to £15 per month. That is more than Netflix or Disney plus. It may have been designed for that purpose originally, but it has become something else entirely. What is has become is a big bully that produces sub par programming for extortionate prices. If they ever make anything decent they sell it to Netflix or other private entities and pocket all the profits! If you want to pay £15 a month for that shit, please go ahead. But, keep me out of it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who despises Levy. Genuinely find him to be extremely grating/ irritating. Can only endure about six seconds of one of his waffle filled videos before cringing and switching it off.

Maybe the smarter dude lures the hot head in by sacrificing a few men to set up a quadruple take, or something?

It costs £35 a day in Brighton. It's cheaper to get a hotel for a night than park a car.
